Re: The Pokemon Thread
Do not take out Scraggy!!!!!So I got back into playing Black version, and I am actually putting some time into it. I just beat the 5th Gym Leader, Clay a Ground type trainer for the Quake Badge. Now I'm moving on to the next city, and I have to travel through a Cave called Chargestone Cave.
Since I'm really bored I'll post up my team as of now.
Servine - Lv. 30
My starter. Not sure why I went with the Grass type starter for this game, maybe because in all other generations I've mainly used either the Fire, or Water starter and I was looking to mix it up, also I thought it might be more of a challenge. This guy has been pretty good, Leaf Tornado has been an awesome attack.
Darumaka - Lv 32
Fire type, so far I believe this has been the only Fire type I have seen up to where I am. I've heard that when this guy evolves, that the evolution is pretty beastly so I'm sticking with it.. only need 3 more levels.
Joltik - Lv 29
I just caught this one, and am currently training it up to par with the rest of my team. I had another electric type but I stashed it in the PC system, because I think Joltik might be better, plus it's also a Bug type and I could use some Bug attacks for dealing with Dark, Psychic Pokemon.
Krokorok - Lv 30
One of my favorites so far, it's a Ground/Dark Pokemon. Plus it looks pretty cool. Crunch is a badass attack, I have Dig on him but I'm thinking I can upgrade that for a better ground move.
Scraggy - Lv 30
He's a fighting type, looks little but packs a pretty powerful punch. I actually was thinking of switching him out for another Fighting type, since there are quite a few in this game but I'm staying with him for now.
Palpitoad - Lv 31
A Water and Ground type Pokemon. I actually want to switch this out for another Water type, because I already have Krokorok as my Ground type, and I don't like the vulnerability to Grass that I currently have.Comment

Re: The Pokemon Thread
Not sure if I did that in FR/LG but I know that I did it in my Heart Gold, at some point after the 2nd gym I put my starter away and challenged myself to beat the Elite 4 with a team of different Pokemon than what I usually use.Minnesota Vikings

Well, in Pokemon Black, in the Pokemon center, you go to the lady on the right upstairs.
I just offer starter pokemon since that's what people seem to want. You pretty much can only communicate through a smiley face or a sad face.Comment

Re: The Pokemon Thread
Just found out I can't connect the DS I have to our wireless because it uses WPA. So much for trading and battling online which is what I really wanted to do. Bummer.
Is there any way around this? Changing the settings really isn't an option for me.Fan of....

Re: The Pokemon Thread
I don't know much about wireless connections, so what does this mean?
You could always go to a public place and use their wifi.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

Re: The Pokemon Thread
Unfortunately, no not unless you want to buy a 3DS, but if you have a 3DS then it can do all encryptions but with a DSI down to regular DS you only can use WEP which sucks.
They are just protection for your wireless internet keeping people from accessing your network unless they have the password of course. WEP is an old internet encryption which isn't as secure as WPA, and then they have WPA2 so forth and so on. At least this is my understanding of them.I don't know much about wireless connections, so what does this mean?

Re: The Pokemon Thread
Can't you just buy an adaptor then? I bought this when I first had a DS because I had the same problem. After using that, it worked out well for me. Now that I changed my internet service, I could just connect to my internet. I didn't know it cost $60 dollar though. I remember buying it much cheaper.

Re: The Pokemon Thread
I just switched my connection's security thing from WEP to WPA. Problem solved.
Also, I used to bench the **** out of Pikachu in Yellow. That's the only starter to get that treatment, though.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn
