Re: The Pokemon Thread
Will definitely check this out, thanks. I'm sure they can be found for cheaper on eBay or something. Can't you just buy an adaptor then? I bought this when I first had a DS because I had the same problem. After using that, it worked out well for me. Now that I changed my internet service, I could just connect to my internet. I didn't know it cost $60 dollar though. I remember buying it much cheaper.

Re: The Pokemon Thread
Already almost finished getting my 8th badge in Heartgold(I've played 30 hours, granted i've left it on sitting for awhile), luckily still have Kanto.
I'm assuming Platinum/BW are about 30-40 hours gameplay as well? Games seemed much longer as a kid lol
Anyone gonna get Pokemon Conquest? Seems like an interesting concept, but something to wait on for reviews/videosSaints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: The Pokemon Thread
Yup Pokemon Platinum and B&W are about 30 hours, I thought about pokemon conquest but I don't like that fact that all pokemon are given 1 move, that turned me away from it.Already almost finished getting my 8th badge in Heartgold(I've played 30 hours, granted i've left it on sitting for awhile), luckily still have Kanto.

Re: The Pokemon Thread
I just found my HeartGold when I was cleaning my room...its safe to assume that I was extremely happy when that happened! Which means its time to start playing again (obviously.)
I'm thinking I want to do a playthrough where I can only catch one type of Pokemon. My first thought is water, but I'm open to suggestions if any of you have some haha.Check out my Houston Astros Dynasties:

Yeah, Black's about 30-40 hours, but somehow I've spent over 150 hours on it..Already almost finished getting my 8th badge in Heartgold(I've played 30 hours, granted i've left it on sitting for awhile), luckily still have Kanto.

If you only want to use 1 type, I think water would work.I just found my HeartGold when I was cleaning my room...its safe to assume that I was extremely happy when that happened! Which means its time to start playing again (obviously.)

Re: The Pokemon Thread
If you want suggestions, Feraligator, Poliwrath, Lapras, Gyarados, Golduck and Vaporeon.
Lapras would help with Ice Beam against Lance.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

Re: The Pokemon Thread
Thanks for the suggestions. I agree with most of those, I don't like Psyduck/Golduck. I'll probably just use Slowbro/Slowking for my psychic needs.Check out my Houston Astros Dynasties:

Re: The Pokemon Thread
Completely forgot about Slowbro/Slowking to be honest.
I said Golduck just because a psychic/water type would be helpful against Bruno/Koga in the Elite Four.
You also don't need to trade to get Golduck, but you do for Slowking.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

Re: The Pokemon Thread
I just started a playthrough of Emerald just the other day. Decided to go with Torchic. Slightly different for me as I usually use Water Types, but I like Torchic's evolved forms the most out of these starters.
Saw a comment earlier in the thread about not liking the starters as much after the first 2 generations, and I'd have to agree. Generation II was probably my favorite set of pokemon they made.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

Re: The Pokemon Thread
I couldn't agree more about the later gens. Personally, I'm really partial to and favor Gen 1 Pokemon. All 3 starters were awesome and the Pokemon aren't just silly copies of Gen 1 or 2 Pokemon (like Gens 3-5 are.)I just started a playthrough of Emerald just the other day. Decided to go with Torchic. But having said that, Gen 2 was the game I got the deepest into in terms of playing and breeding as a kid so I tend to know that Gen extremely well.
Oh btw, when I turned on my HeartGold, I found that I already had started a Water Playthrough (forgot about starting it when I was driving to Quidditch World Cup in November lol.) So I decided to keep that going, considering I was at the Ghost Gym and how much further there is to go in the game.
Current party:
Level 32 Totodile
Level 35 Slowpoke
Level 33 Wooper
I think I'm gonna hold off on evolving Totodile until it gets Hydro Pump (which I believe is in the 50s, maybe 56?) But other than that, I gotta train up Slowpoke and Wooper for the Fighting and Steel gyms which are up next.Check out my Houston Astros Dynasties:

Can't be caught in the wild and it was some event or whatever.
