I hate the final part of Damavand Peak on Rush. You have nowhere to go except the 2 side tunnels and the main entrance. Way too linear to do anything. Conquest on Operation Metro is terrible too, it might be the Nelson Bay of BF3 for me. I quit that map every single time. I'm about to quit every time it's conquest/Operation Metro now.

That's funny because those are my two favorite maps to play. I love the 20,000 foot drop that requires a parachute on Damavand. Conquest on Operation Metro is a kill fest for me. The battle for the Ticket Station is a blood bath. This is a map where teamwork and strategy is key. If a couple of guys follow my lead I usually try to capture points A or C in the hopes of corralling the enemy at B. Lay a couple of C4 explosives to take out the rescurers and you have a round of fun.

I just love how different every map and mode on said maps plays out.

They definitely did a remarkable job at not making it stale. And each one requires different strategies, etc.

Everytime I play conquest on Operation Metro, I want to break something. I hate it...

I don't even know how we got rolled that bad. We started out dominating and next thing I know we we forced back to our spawn.

Part of the problem I suppose was no one got the second set of escalator stairs...

Operation Metro is the worst map in a Battlefield game ever.

And I've played 'em all going back to 1942 (PC).

I like Metro for Rush and TDM, but I've never had a good experience for Conquest. It's possible to turn the tables on B, but it usually swaps hands only once per round.

Someone mentioned it earlier in this thread but smoke plays a huge part in getting back to B. The only reason I played Assault was to unlock smoke, because I was so tired of getting locked out of B.

I saw an awesome use of smoke this weekend playing with randoms (well, at least my team was comprised of randoms, the Americans had their **** together). We were covering the escalators and all you saw was like 4-5 smoke nades go off. Everyone starts shooting randomly while I run to try and cover the left flank and promptly get killed as soon as I turn the corner. On the kill cam the dude who killed me is running up the left flank (our left, his right) and like two or three squads of dude's equipped with tactical lights emerge from the smoke that they initially set off and completely roll us.

Needless to say, we lost.

Smoke will get you back to B. Smoke and communication will win the game.

Tact lights allow you to see through smoke?

no but you can see the light through the smoke...best defense against the smoke is the infrared scope...

Ok guys I need a little help here. If I am driving a jeep and don't have a gunner is it possible to change my position in a vehicle? Playing on 360.

Yes, press the A button to switch seats.

Yes. On the PC it is the F keys (F1 driver seat, F2 gunner, etc), do not know the command for consoles.

Edit: said above what the console input is.

I would have died so many times if they couldn't switch seats. Stupid Helicopter pilots jumping out of the chopper.

In real life that would make sense, but I still can't see through smoke using Infrared. Probably a good thing, the Infrared is way too out of balance anyway.

Smoke with mortars are even better, although for the stage you were on it wouldn't work in that area.
