LOL...I'd be kinda mad, but I wouldn't hate message over it. In that exact case, seems to be me that was a legit tactic...especially if you had some teammates around to take the flag after you 'cleared' it.

Sorta reminds me of a combination of the suicide bomber at the end of "Platoon" and Dunbar's suicide ride at the beginning of "Dances With Wolves" LOL

I wish battlelog had a way of displaying the status of a match in conquest. Irritates me to load the game....wait for everything to connect.....then start and 10 seconds later.....your team has lost!!!......LOL

I play on 360. I wish there was some code they could write that would not let you join a game that's over halfway done. Too many times I come into a match that's ending for a quick loss like the above poster, or come in late to a match that's pretty hopeless LOL.

I'm a little more than half way there (~56,000/100,000).

My think my tank loadout right now is Thermal Optics + HMG + Prox. Scan.

Also, what is with everyone using the IRNV? I mean seriously. I was playing last night and every time I died they had the IRNV equipped. I was like ok, we're on a fairly dark map (Tehran) but when we got to Caspian everyone still had it equipped.

Best scope there is imo. Makes it extremely easy to see people, even when they're partially hidden behind an object. Wouldn't be surprised if they toned it down a little bit.

nooooooo! I just recently found my love for that scope! I use it to hunt those damn snipers that just love to perch somewhere....I get my majority of dogtags that way....that and if the victim is to busy shooting at someone while I attack from behind

Only problem I have with it is that it seems to be just as effective on bright sunny maps (Caspian, Kharg) as it is on the darker maps(Tehran, Bazaar).

I just feel like I'm at a disadvantage if I don't equip it and I really don't want to have to equip it just to counter it. That and I don't want to part with my M145.

Edit: I do agree though, It's great for taking out those pesky snipers or other people who find ridiculous hiding places. I'm interested to see how they will "balance" it.

Pretty much, it should only be effective on 3 maps (Metro and the 2 you already mentioned).

There's no reason why it should be working as well as it does on Firestorm, a bright, sunny desert map with no clouds at all. That nerf and the flashlight nerf is welcomed by me.

Maybe they will render it useless in sunny maps...that would make sense and I'm not going to complain. I'm guessing they will just make it that you won't be able to see the players at a greater distance....

I wish more people would use the SOFLAM. I started playing Recon last night just so I could work my way up to unlocking it. It would make taking out the experienced pilots who know how to bring down the throttle and then accelerate quickly out of a turn to avoid flares a hell of a lot easier.

Ok I just unlocked the MAV, and although I never played battlefield 2, I think the MAV is a decent replacement for the commander and every team should always have one in open stages (in rush at least, probably not as effective in conquest). Furthermore you can target vehicles for anything that's laser guided.

But seriously if you have a guy with the mav spotting people for you, listen to them! They probably have way more information than you do in your screen. Now that I've played with one, I don't know how one can exist without it. I still think it shouldn't be able to roadkill though.

The 3rd seat thing in the tank is actually better and more practical because you are mobile and you more than likely can have a person with guided shells in the tank with you. Takes forever to unlock though. I haven't done it, but I was shooting guided shells while they were laser targeting them.

Ah, that explains it. I got kind of annoyed cuz i kept trying to fire a stinger missle at a tank.

Now that i've played this game a bit and im starting to get the hang of it, i'm really enjoying myself. I'm actually pretty good. I have a question about RPGs though. Do they just do little damage to people? It seems like there have been plenty of times when i fire an rpg at somebody and it lands like a foot away from them and they don't die. And no im not abusing them or anything like that, but there are times when i don't have time to reload or a guy goes around the corner, or when there's a big group of people. Seems like i'll often fire it right in the middle of a group, only to see maybe one person die, and then get a bunch of assist.

RPG's don't have much splash damage to avoid abuse. I find hitting the walls next to them or behind them is not enough to kill them. I get kills most of the time by just aiming at their legs. You either hit them in the legs directly or the ground right underneath them.
