Video games are just the newest form of entertainment. News outlets attacked movies when theaters were first opening, then specific types of music ( hip-hop, rock etc). Dungeons and Dragons caused a huge stir when its board games became popular.
People that are afraid of letting their kids become knowledge of violence are living in a fantasy world. Any daily news show, local or national, reports murders, rapes, kidnappings or terrorism every single show.

It's up to the kids' guardian to teach them right from wrong.
When they don't, those type of irresponsible people will sometimes pass the blame to video games, music or movies when crazy people snap.

Video games, hip hop, and violent movies weren't around when Hitler was.
As much as people don't want to believe that crazy stuff happens, it always has and always will.

Just cleared my ps3 so i have 10 GB free.

I pre-ordered the game on amazon but I just found out my tuesday class got cancelled. I am thinking of going into the wal-mart here at midnight on monday to pick up the game, do you usually need to pre-order at wal-mart or can you just walk in at 12:01 and grab the game?

I have about a half dozen Gamestops in my general area, Most kids buy their games there rather than Walmart. I have a Walmart on the other side of town but the guys in the electronics dept. are pretty much brain dead. They might not break the game out after midnight and I gotta get up at 5 to go to work. I can find someplace the next day in my travels to get the game I would think.

Just traded in the rest of my games at GameStop towards GTA V. I tried to sell them on Craigslist for two weeks and couldn't. Anyway I don't have any games now, waiting on Monday night, GTA V will be the only game I have to focus on along with NBA 2K14 on Oct 1 (when GTA Online drops!).
Wish I didn't have to buy physical, hopefully when next-gen starts in November Xbox360 get's first day digital downloads.

GameStop guy says he's expecting only around 200 for midnight release and that's only because kids have school and parents have to work or it would be way more. I going to show up right at midnight, not waiting for an hour or two just standing around.

Kevin Smith said it best when he mentioned he'd let his daughter watch whatever she wanted but he would always be there for her if she wanted to talk about some of the things she experienced.

My parents let me watch, play, and listen to whatever I wanted, but had I started acting like a moron they would have put a stop to it right quick.

I Think i can safely say now that i think GTA 4 Soundtrack was much better IMO.

the lack of a Reggae, and a current R&B radio station is huge to me. its not terrible but leaves a lot to be desired.


on another note, the police are so damn annoying in this game. they are so hard to shake.

I find the police much easier to shake. Interesting. The cone is so much better than the previous systems.

I do agree on the radio selection, but I do like the music that is in the game on the stations you have to choose from.

Do you think it fits the setting of the game though like how the music did with IV?

Also glad to hear they got rid of the circle and added the cone.

It's pretty realistic in terms of what we have out here in the area - save for the lack of a couple stations. I'd say it fits very well, there's just not quite enough variety in the stations.

i love that they added the cone for the police, its just that even when u get far away from them and they are not even in view on the mini map a car will just pop up close to u and turn right down the alley where i am hiding.

As for the music, i didnt know/dont remember that they added music via DLC to GTA 4. In that case i hope they do the same here. Bring back VIBE please! and some Reggae would be nice.

i would say the music is a good fit but not perfect. To me the music in GTA 4 just fit that game so perfectly.

another thing, i dont think any of the stations suits Michael's musical preference. well at least to me. so i just end up listening to Rap when playing with him and i dont want to do that. i try to listen to music that i think that character would listen too ya feel me?

EDIT: i agree with Ubernoob, not enough variety in the music.
