Yep! Got it today for PC for free! I put many hours into the PS4 version but always wanted to mod it. Turns out I don't think I can (from what i've gathered) until the new Script Hook gets updated? Does that sound accurate?

I played through it on 360 but never really got into Online. I’m going to get the free PC version, though I’ll probably never have time to play it.

If there was a recent patch then that sounds accurate.

Seeing GTA V going free is a pretty big deal. The game was still selling like hotcakes to this day. I wonder if a) Rockstar believes it is more profitable in the long-run to increase the playerbase to get more microtransactions, or b) if this is a sign that GTA VI is closer than we may realize. This is generally a type of move you do see when a sequel is not too far away.

The hopeful side of me says that it's probably a mixture of both, but who knows.

I'm leaning more towards (a), especially given these times. The big money always was in microtransactions, and they're hitting it at a lull in game releases right now.

It was on Game Pass for a while (and just got removed last week), so I'd imagine they saw a big increase in microtransaction sales from that or they wouldn't have made it free on PC

Is it possible to use a scuff vantage 2 controller for this game on PC?

When I get bored and can't figure out which of the 1,000 games in my library I want to play, I revert back to V...

Just started the story (again) and will be my 4th playthrough if I make it the distance. This game is STILL a masterpiece. It still holds up graphically as well, though this time I'm rocking some mods.

Aiming to play start-to-finish in first person. I really do enjoy it, but it kind of takes away from the overall scenery while driving. Going to power through, though and stick to it.

I think that driving in first person adds to other areas, though, like driving in the more urban areas. I personally pick up better on just how much stuff is going on in the streets. I don't know how I to describe it exactly, but seeing all of the junk, the powerlines going everywhere, etc. in the first person driving camera just has a different feel I think.

It definitely does, first-person driving adds to the immersion and gives a totally different feel.

It's very difficult during races and chases when you kind of need a wider FOV, but is otherwise very enjoyable.

GTA V coming to PS5 in 2021, being "expanded and enhanced."

PS5 owners will get GTA Online free at launch in 2021.

Starting today, GTA V PS4 owners get $1 million in GTA cash every month until GTA V releases on PS5.

I agree. At least it'll be expanded(probably just a DLC segment). I just see them targeting 4k60 while adding in expanded story. At the very least hope that it'll be free upgrade and hopefully digital version transfers over.

But I hope they have something else planned before GTA6. Definitely seems that ain't coming until at earliest 2023/24. But hope there is another Rockstar game coming out before that. Bully 2, ManHunt, Max Payne remaster, Agent, or something else lol. I think Red Dead wrapped up well with RDR2. I know GTA is a cash cow, but some other franchise is definitely welcomed.

As tough a wait as it is for GTA fans, I bet GTA 6 still comes out before The Elder Scrolls 6 though.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.
