Remedy did not do Max Payne 3. They developed Alan Wake & then Control, but Max Payne 3 was developed by Rockstar.

Rockstar bought the sole rights to the IP & after the "disappointing" sales figures of MP3 they likely will let it collect dust (like Bully, Manhunt & Midnight Club).

I under the business decision of continuing to next gen, BUT doing it without an DLC that they could have retailed is just odd to me.

A significant amount of people would have bought it.

Super unfortunate, but it's R*. You can get annoyed, but I know I'll be buying their next product on opening day lol.

The fact that they are still pumping out content for a seven year old game is crazy. The game turned out to be a great value for how many updates they put out.

Too bad they didn’t release any single player DLC.

Crazy idea but I think that new location could be a version of Orange County and Anaheim. So we could rob Disneyland lol. Southern California for the most part looks very similar. Correct me if I'm wrong as I've never set foot in the state of California. I think of Orange County being the same as Los Angeles only with more conservative people maybe I think idk. If Rockstar were to work on a version of Orange County it wouldn't be that hard imo.

In San Andreas there were radio commercials for a place called Glory Hole theme park. Maybe Rockstar decides to bring it back and make that their version of disneyland.

Did "new location" actually mean new map stuffs, or did it just mean like a new interior or something?

For instance, I know the prison isn't used at all in SP. Maybe you get prisoners out of there in MP (or maybe that's already a heist there)?

My point is, like the casino was a "whole new location," I don't know for sure they're necessarily building out the map or anything. Then again, this is the first I'm reading about this, and I haven't followed it at all.

But I tell you what: if they are making a new map portion, it better be included in single player as well.

The greatest fallacy of this game is the fact they didn’t drop any single player DLC. There were so many different ways they could have went with it.

The article won't show on my phone, but he left in April and he has become his sister's primary care giver. She has cancer. I would assume that may have played a role into this and may even be the reason he left. It takes a lot of work and effort to be someone's care giver in a situation like that. It's a full-time job in itself.



He is still a consultant for an unnamed studio which could always turn out to mean he still had a voice in the series, or he may be gone for good.

Dan Houser left, Lazlow Jones left, Leslie Benzies left in 2014. Jeronimo Barrera left (but I think Jeronimo left because he got in trouble for sleazy crap he did). Lots of departures.

Only Sam Houser remains and probably a couple of other vets we don't know much about. Rockstar is silent as hell.

I wonder if its about the direction the company is taking with SP/MP? They went the whole generation and only released 1 game. Its looking like the next GTA is at best a few years away.
