    Re: Grand Theft Auto V

I liked some of the gang activity in GTA: SA, but I think that's also part of the reason I never finished the game. I got burnt out on it quickly and just started roaming the open world.

I've beat GTA 3, Vice City, IV, TBOGT, and TLAD... never got close to finishing San Andreas

Same here, I thought San Andreas was the least fun of the entire series and it is the only one I did not finish.

I played SA the most and went through 3 completely the most. Vice City was my least played, but I still enjoyed it though it felt small.

I liked the turf wars in SA. I don't remember them too much, but it was nice to ride 4 deep with tecs hanging out the side of the car.

Least fun for me was The Lost and Damned. I bought a GOTY edition and played TBoGT first and I just couldnt get into the biker thing after that.

I loved TBOGT. I loved the night life side of the city and it had some of my favorite characters from any GTA game (mainly Yusif).

I also thought Louis (sp?) was a pretty solid protagonist/character.

I think it's also nice that they give the option to swap to another character, instead of having to drive your *** all the way back to the city. I like exploring, but it was too easy to get caught up in other things in San Andreas, because the long drives.

I meant full games, I would take GTA III or Vice City over San Andreas any day. TBoGT and The Lost and Damned were okay, nothing special in my eyes.

There hasn't been a GTA that has been "the least fun" for me. I love them all. But of course there are aspects that take away from the older ones like GTA III since you can't really control the camera and things like that.

About the San Andreas gang/turf wars, the one thing that was annoying about them is when you'd be on the other side of Los Santos and rival gangs would be trying to initiate a war with you, so you'd have to drive all the way back across. That sucked.

Fair enough, I think I had tons more fun play San Andreas than 3, VC, and IV. I cant count how many times I started a new file in that game. I felt extremely attached to the characters. It wasnt quite the same for me in any other GTA title.

San Andreas was my favorite easily. But the gang stuff, takeover/protect mini gameplay was annoying as ****! I hated getting a call to protect a territory. That mechanic blew chunks to me.

Honestly, the "least fun" I had was playing 4.

That is why I got disengaged so quickly. I couldn't stand the long drives and the turf wars and I just didn't think the game was worth playing since so much of my time was being wasted on meaningless objectives.

Ya'll do know that the Turf Wars were optional, right? It wasn't like something that HAD to be done and where you had to rush back take it over because you could always go and take it right back anyway.

The soundtrack for SA alone makes that my favorite GTA and that's not even including the awesome gameplay. I just hated the fact that they waited til this one before they allowed you to swim and not die because that annoyed the crap outta me in Vice City where I would try to jump on a boat and I'd somehow fall in the water and of course automatically drown.

I didnt get attached to anything in GTA IV outside of Louis from TBoGT. Game was phenomenal but I just couldnt get into Nico. Just couldnt do it.

EDIT: Optional? The damn game told me to get x amount of territories to beat the damn thing. And some of those territories were bugged as hell where the gang members refused to spawn.

I liked Vice City's soundtrack more than SA, but SA's was good as well.

Just way too much nostalgia in the Vice City soundtrack, for that reason it's the hands down best to me.

I know it's all relative, but I was just putting my favorite out there.
