    Re: Grand Theft Auto V

I'm a bit confused as to how the cars work, in terms of how to permanently change one.

I was playing as Trevor last night and his default red truck exploded (with Trevor outside the truck). He survived and left the scene. I then proceeded to play with Franklin and when I came back to Trevor some time later his truck was back and in perfect condition.

Call me a hard-core, sim-style gamer, but I'd prefer that the truck not come back. Not only that it drives me crazy sometimes when I take a car (that I like) park it for a mission and then it's gone when I come back. Is there any solution to this?

And how do you make another care your "permanent" car? In other words, replacing Trevor's red truck with something else?

Might be wrong, but I don't think you can change permanent cars.

Also, Rockstar apparently warned people not to use their house garages until they can send out a patch. I just had Michael's house garage emptied out thanks to a glitch, and I can no longer park anything in there anyways because the garage door won't open. Bye Bugatti

Does it only affect the house garages? What about the stand alone garage(s) each character has?

I haven't had anything disappear from any garage, even my house ones. I quick save after putting a car in the garage every time. Maybe that helps? I don't know.

I haven't really experienced any issues with the home garages. I would just like it a lot better if our cars were always where we left them. I don't like how some missions require us to drive to a location, park our car and use another vehicle because often times when you try to come back to where you parked your car it is gone. Only to randomly show up again at the house.

And as for the destroying of primary cars, I really wish that they did not come back once they were annihilated like Trevor's truck was.

Only house garages according to rock star (at least that's what my brother told me). But in a stroke of good luck, my cars suddenly reappeared in my garage today, so it seems to be a really strange bug lol.

Alot of times when you pull up to these missions you dont exactly park your car legally. Every time I have pulled up to a mission in a car it has been near where I left it but moved to a proper parking locaition or I find it at the impound lot. Hardest to find are bikes becasue the game will pretty much put them anywhere around the mission start area.

I did have a $440k car dissappear from my garage

You don't have to drive back to where you parked to get your car back. Your car spawns nearby after you finish a mission or switch to another character. That's why there's a bunch of pictures of submarines on the streets. Drive the vehicle into the mission marker, your character will jump out on his own. Once he is done, you will see your original car parked somewhere nearby.

Should be finishing this tonight after 40+ hours of fun.

It was funny because for the first 75% of the story mode I liked the story but never felt bad getting sidetracked to do some of the side missions or just cruise around enjoying all of San Andreas. BUT suddenly I'm all in on the story. Struggling at work today!

I don't think there's really been any mention yet of downloadable content for this game, if there has I've missed it. However, I'm hoping that they can simply add more heists. To me it seems like a logical, easy, and lucrative way for Rockstar to make extra cash.

I would gladly pay money for more heists and its not as if they have to build a world or expand the map. Everything is there, already set. They just have to make the story, record voices, etc. The heists are, without question, some of the most fun video game experiences I've ever had.

                              What movies has everyone seen?

I watched my first one last night and it was a funny parody of an artsy Italian film. The dialogue was hilarious. Without giving too much about them away, what other types of movies have you come across?

Just wait until Online where you can do heists with your crew of friends. That's going to be a lot of fun.
