I got so close to killing him once already by luring him into one of the circular rooms in the tower and dodging around him so I could do a back stab but at last he managed to get a lucky hit on me and it was over.

I did pick Pyromancer as my starting class and its worked out nice so far.If there is any tips on that knight please share. I tried to lure him outside for a bit but apparently he hates the light and runs back inside once he gets to the area where the sniper, Polearm and 3 soldiers were before hand.
You really aren't meant to take on that Knight so early haha. If you are finding something (especially a non-boss) to be really hard, chances are they didn't intend for you to fight that character as early as you did. That knight is guarding what winds up being a passageway later on, I believe.

Here are some tips, anyway. Just incase you decide you can't move on without beating him.

    1. Make sure to always have your shield up. It sounds obvious, but the number one way of dying in DS is when you go in for an attack and leave yourself vulnerable for a shot.

    2. Get behind him. Backstabbing is an essential part of DS, and it gets pretty easy the more you do it.

    3. Parry him. This takes quite some time to get down, but once you do, Knights won't give you much of a problem because their attacks are pretty easy to parry.

Ah, Mr. Black Knight at the Burg. When I first ran into him, I thought I'd hit him, run away, rinse and repeat. It turned into a

Decided to give this game another try on PC after I played it for about 2 hours on 360 before trading it in. I'm now wishing I stuck with it. Just took out the gargoyles with the hand axe you get near the start and it was such a rewarding feeling. Didn't bother getting the Drake Sword since people were saying it creates poor habits. I did get a battle axe now that I'm upgrading, but I still need to find some better armor since all I have now is a set of leather armor and the iron boar helm. Just need to figure out where to go now. I figure I need to take the elevator down from Firelink Shrine to reach the 2nd bell, but there is the lower Undead Burg and the Darkroot forest that's past the blacksmith and that miniboss that shoots electric at you.

Dark Souls II is now a day 1 purchase. I may never finish this game, but I've played enough to know I want to be a part of the zeitgeist of Dark Souls II.

Best part is going blind once the game comes out. There's no wiki to hold your hand for you. I would love to be able to play Demon's Souls and Dark Souls for the first time again not knowing a single thing about the world. I haven't even touched my PS4 in awhile, I've been anticipating this game for much too long.

Trying to 1000 point this game. It is ridiculously hard, and looks like it's going to take 3 or more runs to do it. Eek.

Okay question, I found armor and such but I'm afraid to equip it because I can't seem to understand the weight scale. I mean there's a thing that says percentages but I can't seem to wrap my head around it.

Also I seen a message on dark souls that said never get fat man roll, what does that even mean?

Fat man roll is one of the symptoms of overlaoding you character. You can equip your character however you would like, even with fat man roll. Essentially, when you are not very encumbered you roll quickly and a long distance. When you are under heavy load and you try to roll your character rolls about a foot (its more like a fall) and its slow as all get out. Some people build characters with heavy weapons and havel's armor and don't worry about being slow or having fat guy roll becuase they plan to just stand an bang with enemies. It's all about how you want to play. Additionally, there is a ring
                    Spoiler
that you can pick up that reduces your burden so you can were heavier armor and move quickly.

                    But basically,
Above 100% of total Equip Load you can't roll or run.Trying to roll or backstep stuns you.
Above 50% and up to 100% of Equip Load causes fat roll.
Above 25% and up to 50% of Equip Load gives medium movement.
Below 25% of Equip Load gives fast movement.

Well got through next area pretty easily. Killed all the knights, knight shield, drake sword (I know but its very convenient at this stage and will discard it later) and beat this headless lightning guy. Managed to get through the forest area and opened that wall to farming area where you go to steps and they all fall off cliff. :P Knew about that from a friend and his 360 game told me about it. Was farming the bridge with dragon before hand. This is by far the farthest I have gotten and even found this leather set I like a lot. Using a bow and Pyro spell helps tremendously for thinning out areas before you go into the area.

What do those lizards do? I found one in the forest and didnt know what it was at first, when I finally approached it disappeared. Anyway for it to come back?

They are little mobile treasure chests that drop high level upgrade shards/chunks. They always respawn until you kill them. Best bet once you know where they are is to get really light to close quickly enough to hit them before they burrow or use a spear or pole arm to reach them from distance.

I am so ridiculously close to 1000 Achievement points. I have to get all sorceries (1 left) and acquire all rare weapons (4 left). All four of the rare weapons are boss weapons, and I have all four souls needed. It took three playthroughs to get enough Sif Souls. Ridiculous.

Well I just beat the gargoyles at the first bell tower and it was the easiest boss fight I faced so far. Didn't get touched and beat them first try. Was very surprised. Met that creepy merchant and am now farming souls so I can buy a lot of his items. (Rings and his new spell that auto counters heavy attacks. Seems pretty usefull) Also buying some curse heal effects as well. I got some of those papers that put invaders on a list to be invaded as well.

I'm also farming those tree things for their moss because I have a feeling that later on I will need a bunch of status effect heals.
