Same here but with picking up Yakuza 4 I don't care

Pretty fun MP so far. Game doesn't look good at all though. (Fair Warning) But, I have a lot of games that look sensational, so not a big problem for me.

Arthur Gies is one of the reviewers at ign, co-host of Rebel FM, and probably one of the most thoughtful and intelligent game reviewers around. With the exception of a couple of games, I find that he's usually spot on with his critique and analysis of a game.

Weird, usually games skate by on MP in ratings these days. I can see downgrading it because of the textures and shortness of campaign, but they all say the MP is great. I hate that CoD escapes being downgraded by story but no other shooter besides Battlefield really ever does. It's pretty sad that Black Ops got an average or 8.5 or better from most places even with its horrid single player campaign but this game gets docked down for its campaign so much.

                Still no clue.

But based on that tweet, I think "intelligent" can be tossed out the window. LOL

i really disliked homefront. lazy, poorly developed plot, uninspired and often bad level design, and abysmal presentation.

If the box said "Call of Duty: Homefront" it would've been praised for an action-packed, popcorn thriller of a campaign that is a bit on the brief side. Because it's Homefront, it's too short and underdeveloped.

Sweet, now I'm internet famous. I stopped playing the video when I got smoked between the car and the building. I had everyone muted so if this guy had a mic on I wouldn't have heard him.

I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

I'm not really sure what intelligence has to do with reviewing games, but ok. I never base my judgment of a game on a reviewer...let alone ANYONE at IGN. That place is garbage when it comes to game reviews. Any time a game comes out my first place to check out USER reviews is here at OS. And this place has never steered me wrong.

Basing a judgment on a single subjective reviewer is suicide if you want to miss good games. This being one of them.

I'm still going to play it, I'm just not rushing out to buy it and my hopes for it have certainly been dashed. Either way, I'm a big boy and have been around long enough to know who to trust and who not to. Obviously game reviews are subjective, but there are people in the gaming press who understand what differentiates a "good" game from a "bad" one. There were plenty of previews that had reservations about the campaign gameplay, so it's not like this is unexpected.

Besides, OS is NOTORIOUS for honeymoon periods. Just check out the impressions threads for the last 4 Madden and NCAA games.

When games first release I find user reviews tilt towards the positive. Then after a few weeks it can go the other way.

I'm still on the fence. I'm tired of the COD style singleplayer. Multiplayer I feel like I could get that if I get back into BFBC2. Homefront multiplayer would interest me more if I have some guys on my friends list playing the game.
