Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Yup - no dice. Seems like this may actually be a bug - a google search actually turned up some hits.
I play in first person so it really isn't that big a deal to me, but I'm sure it would be frustrating for 3PV players.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
. I wouldn't be surprised if that's one of what's sure to be many visual glitches/quirks.
The bright side is, on the PC at least, if it's prevalent, someone will knock out a mod/fix for it pretty damn quick. The community support for these games is so good.
EDIT: Well, looking at Mr. Wednesday's post...there ya go.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Well, I just had to start over after a couple of hours of playthrough. All along, I was sure I chose to play as Nord. First time I switched to 3rd person, I had a *** **** tail! Somehow I chose the Argonian character, when I even spent the time adjusting the facial sliders and everything for my Nord.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Spoiler
After I killed the Spider and the thief ran away from me, I chased him until he ran right into the Druaga guys. I used that opportunity to run for my life , with the things constantly popping up behind me. I'm fairly sure all of them got cut by the swinging blades, because after a while there was no more pursuit. Eventually I got to a point where only one was after me, and I turned to fight. They weren't hard battles 1v1, but when they started ganging up things got a little hairy.
The two puzzles weren't too bad, although I didn't pick up the golden claw off Arvel until I had gone all the way to the sealed door. By that time I had read his journal and knew exactly how to open the door. That's when I went back and saw the swinging blade area littered with druaga corpses.
The Overlord boss guy killed me a few times when I tried to go toe to toe, but once I realized my light armored character was faster than him, I was able to dance in and out of range, mostly without even needing to block.
Great first story dungeon, but what followed soon after was even more **** (I've already made reference to it in this thread)

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Just a head's up for 360 players (if this was already posted, my apologies...I didn't see any confirmation)...apparently Bethesda confirmed the issue is indeed related to installing the game (game doesn't scale images back up properly after scaling them down) and a fix is in the works:

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I did, although I didn't actually accept the quest until after clearing the actual dungeon (it's part of the main plot and you need the item in question to progress in there).

SpoilerI did the same thing. I ran around in circles screaming like a little girl waiting for my mana to regenerate until I could hit the Overlord with electricity. Fight felt like it lasted 10 minutes.PSN: PhiNuPi
