It's going to be incredibly difficult to avoid spoilers. What some consider spoilers, other's won't, and then others consider everything spoilers.

My advice...spoilers going to get your panties in a bunch? Then this thread is prolly not for you. People can try their best to avoid it, but they *will* come out.

      Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I had a random dragon encounter in (First Main Town You Come To...). Gotta say, it's much easier to kill a dragon, with 10 town guards helping. Afterwards, a large crowd gathered around the dragon..talking, "Did you see that?!", etc. Was pretty cool actually.

I'm not usually a fan of this kind of RPG, count me as a Diablo/Dark Souls kind of hack and slash...forget about the story line. But this game is something else. Glad to see a developer not afraid to do something big and ambitious.

Anyone know what the dragon scales and bones are for that you get from killing then. I have held onto them all.

Looking at the skill trees I think I saw dragon armor on there somewhere.

I'm thinking things are inevitably going to be spoiled in one way or another with this game. There are so may different ways that we can all can go. What one person thinks is common knowledge because they've experience it, the next person has no clue what they are talking about because they went the other direction.
My bad but you know you can have companions right? I didn't say how you get her or whatever. I shouldn't have said "the" companion since I am sure she's not the only one from there but yeah my bad if you didn't know you could have companions.

They are worth a good amount, so my guess is they make armor along the line. Hang onto them.

Went with a Wood Elf. Still trying to figure out how to spec him though. Right now I'm mainly using either a bow or a one handed and magic spell. Not sure if I'm going to spread myself too thin, by trying to level up 3 separate offensive abilities while also going after stealth. Alchemy level starts out higher also on Wood Elf, but I don't see myself putting to much into making potions.
Archery is badass in this game after you level it up a little bit. Getting one shot kills against bandits in sneak mode.

I haven't touched alchemy yet but can you see any properties of ingredients? I can't see any of them and when i tried to make a random potion it failed.

As you make potions with them it unlocks the properties. Also you can eat the ingredients to unlock a property. Another thing, if the potion fails it will make sure you don't combine those two again. If you select one ingredient, it greys out anything that doesn't mix.

                        Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I created a High Elf with the intent to focus on being an Arcane Warrior. But I am so tempted to try out a Wood Elf and be snaeky bastard with a high Archery skill.

Decisions decisions. In any case I only had a chance to play 2 hours as I went to a concert last night.

Needless to say this game will consume my life for the next year easy. I can see 300 hours being poured into this masterpiece. The music and ambience is just flat out E P I C. It truly set's the tone and the close slow mo kills are brilliant and truly step up The Elder Scrolls series to a new level. Just an amazing game.

Hate to say this.....but I must finish Batman Arkham City or I will never go back to it (for a long time that is) with this game. And I think Batman is GOAT. Well that was until I just got a small taste of Skyrim. I already know Skyrim will push it for that title.

I have the collectors strategy guide on the way and should have it Tuesday. I want to read through character creation throughly before I dive in full force. Then I can decide which way I wan to go as I know I ill be an Elf, just need to figure out if I want to try something new. I seem to always gravitate to Arcane Warriors in my RPG's. I love Destruction Magic but I also love my Swords and Shields. I love Enchanting and Alchemy as well. I have never tried to be a Rouge or Thief. Warriors are cool but I love wielding the power of the fire and ice baby.

Enjoy the game everyone and catch up with you all later (after I finish Batman AC).

                        peace.

Only played for a few hours and the game is good. First thing I noticed is how bad the graphics were. Kinda shocked actually. Then the graphics got really good. I read the note from Bethesda which made me feel better.

So, I am wandering around lost in the Northeast in a blizzard, gazing up at the Northern lights, and loving every minute of it.

Someone needs to record the nature sounds and put it on a CD. The wind, the birds. the rain, all of it. So relaxing.
