To learn spells and get quests from books do you have to actually read every word in the book or can you just flip through the pages until you get to the end?

I'm fairly certain you just open the book and you get all the benefits from it.

I think simply opening and closing the book will give you the quest, and the books you learn spells from are consumed and the spell is learned once you select it from your inventory.

IMO not at all, loading wise you can tell the difference but nothing like oblivion, in fact I think its still pretty fast just from disc.

As much as I love my 2h warrior, I feel helpless against dragons until they land. I basically find a hiding spot and hope it lands.

This is the one thing that I don't like about dragons from what I've heard and seen in an IGN commentary.

Sadly I don't have the game, but from what I've heard so far is that the dragons tend to do the same thing with slight variations at practically every encounter. Fly around, shoot fire or frost, then land and start the fight from there.

                  Is this true?

Well, mostly. They vary patterns somewhat. I did happen upon a blood dragon however, and I could not get it to land.

If that was Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers in Madden EA would be the devil, should never be allowed to make another football game and the whole team should be strung up at sundown.

I went with dual wielding 1h swords because you can put up twice the attacks fast. I figured I'm in light armor and not built for hand to hand so I need to dish it out quick. I haven't committed to it yet though since the lack of blocking is a real hindrance.

Has anyone went with bows, 1h sword and a magic of some kind? I'm thinking that's spreading out to thin, especially adding all that on top of sneak, lockpicking, and pickpocketing.

I am.... Working really well for me. Took some getting used to not using shield but so far so good.

Installed the game to my USB drive. Textures are fine, but load times aren't as good as saving it to the console. At least I don't have to deal with the disk spinning noise while Bethesda fixes the issue.

Played 3 hours of Batman AC today.

Tonight it will be a Skyrim marathon....I can't wait. I will split my time between them and Batman will be done in 3 weeks.

                                Skyrim is truly amazing.
