For any of those that are Archers, how do you guys handle close range combat? I'm split between 2 like daggers, 1H and a Shield, or 1H and Magic? Just curious to how you guys go about it as this is my 1st Elder Scrolls game

First ES game as well and I've had some good success with 1H and Magic to go along with my trusty bow.

I switch over to a one hander and either a shield or magic. If I have enough room I use frostbite spell to kite the enemy since it slows them down while whittking away at their life. I wear light armor do heavy weapon users do a number on me.

          Also, I hate Frost Wolves.

Yep. I read every book I see. Many have given me quests.

And WTF.... You're in for a great time. I almost envy you lol

Anyways i always seem to migrate towards more warrior than anything else, no matter the game. Right now i dont use a shield. Fire and or spark damage on LH and sword in rh. Then I always have a bow. However i dropped the one I had so Im in the market for one.

I'm still not sure but at the moment it's been too tempting to do a combo of fire spell and sword, but if close quarters I try to retreat and sneak back.

I found out how to do this on the consoles for anyone interested. While in third person hold R3 and use the left stick to zoom in or out.

Find time! Because as much good stuff I hear about Skyrim (about to go buy it tonight after beating Uncharted 3 last night), UC3 is a 10-hour can't miss, thrill ride. Worth every second of my time.

                              Correct.

Man, I just finished killing a Nordic Legend. It was a grand adventure that involved a waterfall get away, run-ins with a frost artonauch, a hag raven, and multiple arrows put into the back of unsuspecting wild folks.

                              Thank you, Skyrim.

One complaint though. As someone who has played every Bethesda game this gen the Gamebryo engine is starting to show its age. While the game looks great and they've made some nice tweaks, it still feels a little clunky and dated underneath the skin.
This isn't the gamebyro engine, it's the Creation Engine made inhouse by Bethesda studios. They're probably still working out the cinks though.

Can somebody tell me if it's worth installing on the Xbox hard drive for the possibility of lower graphics for better load times?
