Screens look good. I'll definitely pick this one up when it releases.

          I'm around on occasion.

I have to say, after seeing those screens, playing Oblivion even in 1080p just graphically falls short, lol.

              Here some more tid bits:

              1. The new engine being built will include dynamic snowfall, shadows, and greater environmental detail.

              2. There will be five "massive" cities and there will be more to do in them like blacksmithing, farming, and cooking.

              3. There will be five schools of magic: Destruction, Alteration, Conjuration, Restoration, and Illusion. Mysticism has been removed and Enchantment will be a skill.

              4. There will be 18 skills, down from 21 in Oblivion, these skills can be tailored to the type of character you wish to play.

              5. Skyrim will have perks like Fallout.

              6. Quests will be more dynamic with some being randomly generated and other being tailored to your play style.

Acoording to the GI the snow actually falls realistically and lands how it should.

Great! I sincerely hope that they make the game more story driven than Oblivion. To me Oblivion seemed to be more individually quest driven.

I received my issue of GameInformer and got the chance to read the article. The screenshots look absolutely incredible.

A small tidbit that hasn't been mentioned (It is a very small tidbit xD) that I particularly liked in the article was, that you may be strolling around in the forest and a lumbering giant may walk past and disregard you. Not every living thing outside of cities will attack on site.

^That and I liked the idea of having the threat of a dragon fight at almost any moment.

This game will is nothing like Dragon Age, but I hope the size of the dragon is scaled similarly in Skyrim. Those were my favorite fights, they felt so ****. I can't wait to see some combat footage. Most anticipated game of 2011 for me.

Oohhh and I just thought of the mod community. We're gonna be playing this for years, barring the whole 2012 thing...sour.

Game Informer has a new article up.

                        Skyrim’s Dragon Shouts

Many aspects of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will feel familiar to longtime fans. The exploration of a vast open world, first-person combat, and interacting systems of melee, magic, and stealth are all tent pole ideas within the franchise. However, Skyrim introduces something new into the gameplay mix: dragon shouts. This special new set of powers stand apart from the existing magic system, offering a broad range of powerful effects. The ability to attain these abilities is unique to your hero in the world, and the path to attaining them is a quest in itself within the larger tale that unfolds over the course of the game. Dragon shouts give the player the same overwhelming might that drives the resurgent dragon population, and the same source of power that launched the last line of emperors.

                          Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

                          From the GI article:

                          1.DRAGON SHOUT DETAILS
The title of dragonborn has real meaning for gameplay. As perhaps the last surviving dragonborn, your character has a unique capability to learn and apply the power of dragons through the mystical language they speak. Above and beyond magic and weapons, your character can acquire abilities called dragon shouts as you journey through the world. By absorbing the sould of dragons you slay, your capability to learn new shouts grows.

"There are these words or power, and if your learn how to say them right, they have a powerful effect," Howard explains. "There are other people in the world who can use dragon shouts, but it's very rare. It's like arcane knowledge, it used to be done more in the past. But your ability to absorb the dragon souls and do the shouts on the level that you can is beyond them." There are over 20 unique shouts in the game, and each one is formed from three words of power. These are aquired in various ways as you journey through the world. With each new word, the shout you expel grows in intensity and power, "They are all translatable [from draconic to English], like 'strong wind of the gods,'" Howard details.

Dragon shouts expand your abilities in many directions. One sends foes hurtling away from you, stagered by the force of your yell. Another slows down time around you. Some unique words of power are spoken as a whisper, to aid in stealthy approach, like the one that send you instantaneously from one place to another. One in particular potent shout speaks the true name of an actual dragon, and the beat is forced to come to your aid and fight beside you in battle.

No matter how you play or what you like to do, the Dragon Shouts can help your specific path farther along the lines of power.

                          2.DRAGON LANGUAGE
Bethesda created a full draconic language for use in Skyrim. Complete with a 30 character alphabet, a full grammar and syntax guide, and an extensive vocabulary of words, the draconic language and its words of power serves as the backbone to the dragon shout system.
                          Back of GI decoded:

                          Dragonborn Dragonborn
                          By his honor is sworn
To keep evil forever at bay
                          And the fiercest foes rout
                          When they hear triumph’s shout
Dragonborn for hunger blessing we pray

                          And the scrolls have fortold
Of black wings in the cold
That when brothers wage war come unfurled
                          Alduin, bane of kings
                          Ancient shadow unbound
With a hunger to swallow the world

I want this game now....o_o. *Drools*

I am psyched about this game. The only kind of games I play besides sports games are open-world role playing games. I loved Oblivion and Fallout 3. Skyrim will be terrific. For the first time since 2007, my NHL gaming may suffer due to this one.

My most anticipated game for 2011 for sure!

Sounds like the greatest action RPG ever.

What i thought was really great was the new interface menu system they've implemented.

When you pull up the map your character looks at the ground and the camera pulls out far enough to become a map!

When you want to look at your spells or stats, your character looks up at the sky like the pictures shown with destruction spell front and center.

everything sounds soo fantastic. lol

Same, its just the little things and the big things coming together that I love.

Like the dragons can randomly fly over a villiage and attack it and how based on how you play there will be different side quests for you.

Now lets hope for evolving areas. If some dont know what I mean by that I will explain.

Basically sreas of the game change based on what attacks, what you do, the time you play it...etc.
I been wanting that since in Oblivion when Kvatch was attacked and I wanted to see it rebuild by the end of the game.
