Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
66 hours and I think I'm done. Obviously there's still tons of stuff to do, but I did finish the main quest, Companions, Mage's College, and the Civil War stuff. I would've kept going but with The Old Republic starting up next week, I'll never get to this. I'm planning on picking up the GOTY PC version down the line, so when I do I'll still have TONS of stuff to do (Dark Brotherhood, Thieves Guild), along with all the mods of course.
Overall, fantastic experience. I've never spent anything close to 66 hours in a single player game before. That's crazy. Totally immersive experience and I loved every minute of it.
For those who finished the main quest:
SpoilerWas Alduin supposed to be a difficult battle? I kinda got myself pretty overpowered with my Daedric armor/weapons, since I ended up with an armor rating of over 1300, magic/fire/ice/shock resist over 70% plus my War Axe did over 340 damage. The Alduin battle took like 15 seconds for me. Felt a bit anticlimactic, and I almost regret overpowering myself that much ....
... but then I realized my character was a f'ing badass, and nothing was going to stand in the way of the Dragonborn.Comment

I was way too overpowered, and he was a pushover. But then again, most enemies were a pushover. I have however pushed the difficulty to the toughest now after that battle.
Like you say, very anticlimatic.Twitter - WTF_OS

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Only at a level 15, but my sneak is up at 49 and my archery is at 52 (with a bunch of bonus persk for both) so it's definitely fun one-shotting a lot of people.
Plus, I've become an arrow hoarder. I will buy every arrow I find when I come across it, and if you have arrows on your back you can be damn sure I'll be pickpocketing or killing you.
But for real...I currently have 1,047 arrows in my inventory (148 Ancient Nord, 36 Dwarven, 583 Iron, 89 Orcish, 191 Steel).Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
So i've encountered quite a crappy glitch. I can't use the forge, grindstone, or workbench at all. I hit X, and instead of going into the animation for each, it just zooms out to 3rd person for like 3 seconds, then back to first. I can't do anything.
Anyone run into this and know of a workaround? I tried reloading a recent save, but that didn't work, and the closest save to that is like 4 hours ago. No way in hell i'm going back that far.Comment

I've read about this bug. Reloading a save works sometimes (didn't for you) or try leaving the area and coming back.
Edit: Also, try using the grindstone/workbench in 3rd person to start with.Last edited by Mabster; 12-09-2011, 06:05 PM.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

Which is just all quest gear that I got or found. Huge let down imo.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I'm gonna be SOL if I can't fix this. I planned my character around unlocking the daedric bow eventually, along with improving it at the grindstone.Comment
