Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
The only thing I don't like about this game is that it CONSUMES me... I used to play BF3 alot with some 2k12 too. Now I'm barely playing both. Yesterday I literally got home and played it for what I thought was an hour, next thing I know I look at the clock and I was on for 4 hours! (funny part is I only did 1 quest, the rest of the time I was hunting and gathering)Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Last night I was completely overmatched against a frost dragon and a bear at night.....
That's when I decided make a run for the nearest town. I got the people in the small town to help me but they weren't strong enough so I ran again.
This time it was a short distance before I ran into a massive bandit like camp along with my 3 mission buddies that were waiting just outside the camp. After that is was complete chaos!
There were fights all around me in the water and two levels of the fort. Mages were spawning fire Antiochs and shooting fire themselves and one was using a electricity. There was hand to hand combat going on in the water and on the two levels above.
All of this was happening while a bear was unloading on people and the Dragon was tearing everything up from above and on the ground.
Maybe only 17-20 characters were fighting but it seemed twice that. The whole battle lasted 5 minutes and it was one of the coolest things that I have seen in a game. Absolutely incredible!

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I decapitated a bandit prior to going into a fort. It was INSANELY windy out at this peak of the mountain. I'm thinking, ok, this wind is artificial, but pretty cool looking.
I kill all the bandits inside the small fort, come back out into skyrim, see something rolling on the ground (with the same direction the snow is blowing). It was the woman's head that I chopped off at the other end of the fort
It was blowing along with the wind, until it reached a rock in the fort, and finally stopped. Hilarious.Twitter - WTF_OS

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
List of characters involved in one random fight... I probably don't need a spoiler alert but I might as well error on the side of caution.
Spoiler
1 Level 19 warrior mage (me)
1 Frost Dragon
1 Bear
1 Lydia
1 Dephine
1 Esbern
5 minimum people from small town
8-10 minimum in Forsworn camp
Not to mention the 2 fire Antronachs
It looks like a scene from Pirates of the Caribbean with dragons and a bear. Something that added to my shock was that I had never seen a Forsworn (they look awesome) before and I didn't know if they were friends or enemies. Pure chaos!
I think my top 3 gaming moments of 2011 have all been in Skyrim....Comment

Nice.
I love it when you run into fights not involving you.
SpoilerI was walking with my main squeeze, Lydia, to Riften.
I'm passing a fort of some sort and there are all these Ice Mages(instant death to me for some reason...and two Giants(also instant one swat death to me) fighting. The Giants take down all but one of the mages ...and then one of the Giants go down. I move Lydia far away and tell her to wait....I then sneak and start lobbing arrows to weaken each of them(and hiding....they look and then go back to bashing each other....the limping Giant is a cool touch(when he's hurt I guess)...anyway when both look pretty weak I run down and cast a Storm Spell(that is one bada$$ spell) which takes out the mage and then a Battle Cry and finish off the Giant.
The only bad thing was Lydia and I were loaded with loot and I have to come back for the good stuff from there.
No Mammoth with the Giant though, and I need a tusk for a side quest.
Still loving this game ....

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I have a question regarding possible story problems for either quest.
Concerns somewhat of an overlap between the Stormcloak questline and the main questline.
What do I do?
SpoilerUlfric wants me to invade whiterun, and I'm guessing kill the same guy that I need to get to agree to let me capture a dragon in Dragonreach. I have to get a truce between the imperials and Stormcloacks to be able to do that. Will either of my quest lines get screwed up if I do one or the other?Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Playing as a Khajiit right now. A thief/assassin. With this character I am not going to touch smithing, going to be going about it like a scavanger/trader only using items and supplies I find or trade for.
Focusing on stealth, bow, pickpocket, and then for those up close encounters Shield and Sword with a dagger for those sneaky kills.NHL: Vegas Golden Knights

I was able to get two giants to fight a Dragon once. One of many awesome moments. When the Dragon died I thought I would would run up to the Giant who survived and maybe talk to him. Turned out he didn't want to celebrate... I ended up killing him and when I was done I was standing next to a dead dragon and two dead giants. I still can't believe how cool they made the dragons.Comment
