There's a trophy/achievement for reaching level 50 but that's not the cap. You can continue to raise all your skills to 100 which puts you halfway between levels 81 and 82.

I just got to level 17 after getting my smithing up from 21-33 at the Skyforge making **** and re-selling it to the dude up there.

There is so much to ****ing do in this game it's ridiculous. I can't decide if I want to just start going out hunting and **** with all of the Companions (who I just got accepted to) or go off exploring.

Frost trolls, menacing as they appear, are surprisingly easy to defeat - even for a low-level character. Once you know their pattern, it's cake.

I agree...but those damn Ice and Cave Bears are very tough...at least for this mage.

Even at level 52 bears hit hard as hell (light armor wearer). Luckily I can take them down in one stealth shot, or 2-3 hits straight up with daggers.

The only menacing thing I find with frost trolls is babysitting Lydia and making sure she doesn't die. Matter a fact most of my battles is focused on protecting her, I think it's time to part ways with her lol.

Have you been upgrading her armor and weapons?
I find that she's useful at helping me in battle.
I use some spells on the attacker and she's hacking away.
If she goes to one knee....I use a little healing on her.

                          Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I played a while Saturday night and yesterday. Killed 3 dragons, getting a lot better at them!

Right now I'm in the middle of the DB, and getting into the TG. I'm partway into the main quest (have all 3 of 1st shout), but want to complete other stuff for a bit...

I've gotten smithing up to 80 now, should have it 90 for Daedric.

Here's my question: I'm using light armor, but is it better to follow the right side of the perk tree (the heavy armor side) due to the weapons? Seems like I'd either use Dragonscale armor or one of the non crafted. It seems like the best bow is the Daedric bow, so I'd rather not miss out on that either...

Don't want to waste my perk points though...can't get those back!

Maybe eventually, but once you get to dragon along the light side, you would be better off going with bow/light armor/sneak perks before going back for a daedric bow (if you have yet to spend any in smithing, just go up the heavy side from the start to dragon).

Gotcha...I have yet to spend any perks in smithing, so I'll just go heavy up to dragon. I don't see needing any of the other light armors, not when DB gives me solid sneak stuff, and there's also other light armors I can use until Dragon.

Now it'll just take me a while to save up perk points for this, along with keeping my bow and sneak going up (I've decided to max out sneak eventually, I want the re-engage at a distance sneak ability)
