Wife & kids went away to the inlaws last night, and didn't get home until about 2 hours ago. And how much Skyrim did I play?

None.

I think I'm in the same boat. I actually fired it up, decided I didn't want to play, and turned it off.

I had NO desire to play it whatsoever. So I guess I'm in the same boat, except my interest level has dwindled big time.

Nah, I'm not in that boat at all. Just finished up the DB quest line last night, which is awesome by they way, and now I am about to start doing quests in Solitude to get my rep up to buy a house there. Sometimes I do get burned out playing a stealth style, but I just switch to a completely different character and play style at that point.

Not to mention, the mods are great, even without the CS. I can't wait to see what people come up with after it's released in January.

I finally started playing other games again this past week.

I'm still playing Skyrim, just not nearly as much.

Is this game better than Fallout 3? I saw my friend play this at his house and it looked sort of boring.. he just ran in circles with his magic and caught people on fire

I blame the busywork padding quests. Bethesda, your game is well over 100 hours big, no need to pad it with repetitive fetch quests.

Finally unwrapped the plastic wrap off this game and started playing. Bought it release weekend but didn't have time to sit down and play I until now.

Dragon fight question:

I keep getting my arse handed to me by the dragon at the western watchtower. I'm only level 5, maybe that's the problem? Im 1H build with shield and some mine destruction magic.

Every time I try to get close enough to use my cold sword he destroys me.

It depends on the dragon. When I was in the 5-15 level range, I could really only handle normal dragons. Blood Dragons or any other kind would put me in they're mouth and throw me aka one shot. As far as you're weapon set up, go with 2H weapons. I started out just like you, and it took forever to kill anything. The whole idea for using the shield is to keep you alive for much longer, but the amount of damage you do with a 2H makes it well worth it to switch. And the mobs in the higher levels don't hit hard enough to make you want switch to a 1h/shield set up.

EDIT: Err forgot about that questline dragon, just let the guards beat him up. Get you're cheap shots in. What I posted above could be for further fights and general knowledge.

I got it. I let the guards hit it a bit, then equiped on hand with spark and another with minor healing. Just threw sparks and healed myself when I got hit with his flames. It worked out

And since 1.2 I have had 3 freezes. Not happy about that at all.

I have finally started to take some breaks after 75 plus hours. Started playing some NBA2K11 and Madden 12 here and there.

This is the type of game where I need 2-4 hours minimum to play. I can't get in a quick hour......no such thing.

Yeah, I've started taking some breaks from the game. Still playing the crap out of it, but I've also been trying to catch up on Sons of Anarchy on Blu Ray. Also trying to squeeze a couple more games in. However, I still have a similar itch to continue playing once I start, much like when the game first came out.

BTW, I'm also around the 100 hour mark, so I'm not surprised I'm burning out a little. Thing is with Bethesda games, I can burn out, but after a while, the game comes calling back to me with a vengeance.
