Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
My roommate was playing and he was scaling down a mountain side on his horse. I told him he was playing with fire and the horse would die if he kept it up. He goes:
"My horse never dies man"
*literally 10 seconds later*
"This is some bull****!"Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I can't play this game for a quick one hour session. It is not possible. I am attempting to work from home today as my son has all week off for Thanksgiving and my wife is working today.
Skyrim is calling me......all the damn time. And my son loves watching me play (he is 7). He loves when a Dragon battle happens or when we go adventuring into caves and mines. He loves Lord of the Rings so he is really into this stuff. We have played Baldurs Gate I and II together on the original XBOX...loves his hack n slash games.
He keeps asking why Skyrim does not have that (Co-Op). I told him it is a game for your own adventures.....I am sure he will want to play soon! Now Playing on PS5:

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I've never played an Elder Scrolls game (or really any other recent RPG style game outside of Fallout 3), is there any harm in going out and exploring the map and picking up a ton of quests or clearing out caves and dungeons on my own, or am I possibly going to be doing quests out of order and messing up/missing a bunch of plot information that would have been revealed if i had just progressed through the main quests and found the places that way? ThanksComment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Horses suck for the most part. Not being able to interact with anybody/anything while on the horse basically makes them useless to me. Not being able to fight, talk to anyone, collect alchemy ingredients etc without getting off the horse makes it so frustrating.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
It makes traveling much easier. If I see a lot of plants I can harvest I walk around the area and do my ingredient gathering then get back on.
Not being able to interact and fight is a little annoying I agree. But adventuring around the realm is far better having some transportation. Now Playing on PS5:

My first experience with elder scrolls was morrowind and ive been pretty much hooked since then. They were buggy yes, but just the sense of adventure and the huge scale of the games mad them fun for me. The pc mod community helped a lot for morrowind and oblivion. I also love the fact that you can almost completely ignore the main story line and still have tons to do.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Well I finally lost Barbas once I ended his questline. Not sure how I feel. On one hand he seemed to aggro pretty much everyone letting me shoot them at range with a bow or hit them with dual daggers. On the other hand I won't get stuck inside rooms or doorways anymore and won't randomly get pushed out of the way while trying to shoot a bow while sneaking.
Now I just have to deal with Lydia setting off arrows traps in every dungeon. Maybe she'll eventually learn.Comment

I made it there for the story purposes at like level 20, but I had been wandering around previously and made it there.Comment
