Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
SpoilerIIRC, The Forsworn leader tells you not to worry about your rep in Markath and he will take the fall for everything right after exiting the prison into the city. If you notice the guards are not attacking you but the forsworn. I left without incident and had no bounty on my head.
It's not really a glitch if you go on a murderous rampage of city guards...right?
My issue is that they don't even try to arrest me. They try to recruit me for the Legion. No matter what I do I can't get them to send me to the mine.
edit: sorry for the late spoiler tags. It was an open discussion but I figured I should put it in spoilers just in case.Last edited by Chizzypoof; 12-05-2011, 03:05 PM.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I don't like that some characters can't die. And guards respawn. If I killed a story character 10 times in a row, I think it's safe to say I want him dead and will suffer the quest lock that comes with it.
How can I take down Whiterun if guards just keep on coming and certain characters don't die and keep resurfacing?Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Had a quest glitch, partially my fault but still sucks. It was the end of the companions questline andSpoilerKodlak had died and next I was supposed to meet the others in the underforge. I go in and the three are standing around having a conversation and I notice a small corridor that I don't remember exploring. Their conversation was boring I decided to go look until they finally decided to include me. I go around the corner and then, simultaneously, "To Skyrim" pops up on screen and the game starts transitioning to load screen*. Crap, but oh well, I'll just go back in, but you turn around and all you do is almost fall through the map, you can go out that way but not back in. Oh well, fast travel to Dragonsreach and it's just a short jump. I finally get there and all they will do is stand there and stare at each other. No conversation, you can't talk to them (they are busy) and all they will do is stand. To top it off, the traveling overwrote all my autosaves so I lost a couple of hours.
*I hate it when games do this, put in invisible load boundaries. Nothing like taking one step too far and having to sit through two load screens to get back to where I was. You should always have to click for it to load in those instances.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Side note: I've been rocking dual daggers, but I think I'll have to keep a sword and shield for times I get into full on melee. I do have to fill out the dual wield perks still, so that may help, but still not 100% sure the daggers get much better. I end up running if I get to melee cause the daggers don't do enough damage.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I have wondered that about the daggers (if they ever get powerful enough where you can kill creatures etc quickly without a sneak attack)?
My character is a Nord so I decided to join the Storm Cloaks as it seemed to fit better but yeah I agree that neither side is very likeable....Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
The imperials are douches for allowing the whole situation to happen. All three sides in this, Thalmor, Imperials, Stormcloaks, suck. It's hard to get behind any of them (not sure if you can do Thalmor quests though).Comment

Outside of sneak attacks, using daggers is gimping you. They don't have the damage potential of swords in a straight up fight.
However, that's not to say that they are just weak. I use dual daggers just because that's how I want my character to play right now and I still kill things pretty quickly.PS: You guys are great.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Spoilerthe quest having to rescue that one guy from a Thalmor fort along the northwest coast. That quest was tough most of the way. Thankfully, while inside the fort and getting my *** kicked, one of the Thalmor stepped on a trap which caused a swinging, spiked door to take himself and most of his buddies out, included the dude who was shooting giant fireballs at me.MLB: Cincinnati Reds
