On the bright side, says they have more armor in general. If true and it is a significant increase , ill take that trade.

I'm weird but it always really bothered me to have mismatch armor. Most times I never bothered using better armor because it didn't match, luckily I had Knights of the Nine for Oblivion when I first played it so I could wear that the entire time through.

I had a friend, that when playing dungeon crawlers, would wear crappier armor if it matched.

I know armor is important and everything, but I wouldn't mark it as decision maker important. In Oblivion I wore maybe 3 different armor sets.

          1. Prison outfit
          2. Kvatch Cuirass
          3. Imperial Dragon armor

And I love the game. Oblivion was my first PS3 game in December of 2007 and I still play it.

Skyrim is going to be so packed with stuff, that armor is just a minuscule thing to get uptight about (no offense)

            That's funny.

I can see why it would bother some people though. You have to look good to fight good.

I've just ordered the 5th anniversary edition on PS3. I figure I finally need to finish the main quest line before Skyrim arrives. I played Oblivion for well over a hundred hours and never finished the main quest.

The Elder Scrolls world is fantastic but I do also enjoy the darker tone of Dragon Age. Each works in their own way. Bring on November!

Looks like they realize how badly they screwed Oblivion up and are really looking back at Morrowind and fixing things up. This game is looking outstanding so far.

No doubt. I just had to keep playing to see what a mess of a game they put out. It was so unbelievably bad, that I couldn't put it down. It was like a car wreck... you just have to look and see for yourself.

I didn't say a failure - I said they screwed up. They even acknowledged it. What made Morrowind such a great game was the scenery; it was a fantasy world and it felt like it. The world felt (even if it technically wasn't) that the world was far bigger than in Oblivion - because in Oblivion it was all just the same thing over and over again. They've also admitted to really screwing up the AI.

So don't put words into my mouth. This place is hostile and always has been - it'll be nice when people chill out and don't jump on anyone who says something they don't like.

They've said they went back and took a look at what made Morrowind so special and have used their findings in that next game and have stated that Oblivion was lacking. And as far as almost any TES fan who's played since the beginning, it's by far the worst game of the series.

                            Yeah.

I actually feel like this game is moving away from Morrowind, not towards it, albeit I haven't been following the news very closely. Still excited, however.

They are. Atleast from everything i've read, it's similar to FO3 in that regard.

My favorite Oblivion mods were the ones that did just that.
