Yeah it is a completely different person, I didn't realize that. But that's another mod in any case. I was posting it to show the difference in the textures of the clothes and immediate surrounding area. I think this is her.

I need to start a new game, but I don't want to lose my old one and I also don't want to turn off Autosave (It's come in useful a few times due to freezing).

Here's my question: If I just create a new profile on my PS3, will it overwrite my saves that are associated with my other account on the machine? Or will it create new ones associated with this new profile and then only use those?

Why don't you just manually save where you're at and then start a new game? Auto-saves only save over auto-saves. Even in that case they keep three separate auto-save files.

What I did was copy all my saves to a flash drive (if you have one). I have 3 characters on it so whenever I want to play one of them I just copy it back to the PS3.

I finished the Civil War quest line last night. That was fun, I liked taking on a bunch of Stormcloaks at one time. I'm sad to say a few of my fellow Imperials died from friendly fire though.

              Spoiler

So now I'm at the point where I've completed the main quest, civil war quests, Thieves Guild, and Dark Brotherhood quests. Not sure where to go now. I think I'll clear out all the quests in my Journal now and then return to the Companions.

I did go to Shearpoint last night after nortran11 posted about it. I killed the dragon with just a few shots, Krosis was a little tougher. He about wiped out my buddy Sven, but I pulled Krosis away and finished him off while Sven recovered. That would have been a tough journey back with the heavy dragon bones and scales had Sven died.

I found hunting the Dragon Priest and collecting their masks fun. Without spoiling, all eight masks go somewhere specific to obtain a rare item.

Getting all the Deadric Weapons was also fun.

So am I the only one here who liberated Skyrim from those Imperial dogs? I completed the Civil War quests last night too.

Starting up A Game of Thrones and now I want to start up a third character, haha. I miss leveling my smithing and I want to do the Civil War quest, so a knight/paladin is in order sometime soon. I need to finish up with my Archer first, though.

                      Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I'm getting bored again. I'm halfway through the main quest, did the Companions and Civil War, and just have no real desire to go on. I go to Riften, and get roped in to the Thieves Guild automatically by just walking through town. I didn't want to, but now have those quests littering my journal. Not to mention the quests that pop up all the time just by chatting like you would in any RPG.

I just hate the idea that I'll never have a clear journal, and while the game is wide open, most of the quests are extremely similar. I also wish I cared more about anyone or anything in the world. None of these stories grab me like they do in Dragon Age, Mass Effect, or the good SNES Final Fantasies and others to numerous to name.

Bleh...I'll probably trade it in shortly along with the old sports games for The Show.

Solid plan. I'll probably do that. Many thanks.

Have had that happen as well on the 360.

Anyone feel like every time they play this game, something new ya notice? Do they do any dynamic updates or is it just via a patch?

The texture pack looks great, everything is just much crisper and cleaner. And with pretty much no performance cost! I running it almost maxed on my laptop at 40fps or more and I'm not even doing any overclocking. Bethesda should be praised for updating the game into a very stable and smooth experience.

Which doesn't excuse the first month where it would crash to desktop every twenty minutes but it is a dream to play now.

I agree. The texture map is great, I actually like it better than the 2k mod. It's very noticeable once you start walking around how different everything looks. Its a lot more crisp.

I even noticed the flames have been re-textured.
