    A few I'm using that I didn't see listed:

Cowardly Horses - Prevents horses from fighting (and optionally makes them essential)
Better Sorting - Changes names of various items so they sort better
Cutthroat Merchants - Merchants sell for more and buy for less. Using this to help keep me from getting rich so quickly.
Skyrim Uncapper - Uncaps skill levels and other various effects. I mainly use this to change to leveling rate for various skills.

I heard that (in the console versions) that there is a max armour rating cap so maxed out light armour actually has the same rating as maxed out heavy armour. Anyone know if that is true?

The max armor rating is 567(last time I checked) on the 360. I usually start with heavy armor, and then solely use

thanks for that. Do you know if it's possible to reach 567 with maxed out light armour or is that only achievable with heavy?

Pretty sure you can reach 567 with elven and above.

So heavy armour is completely redundant other than looking cool?

I read this on a Skyrim forum...

The difference between heavy armor and light armor for most of the game is quite drastic. Also, anti-stagger is great against mages, which is something light armor cannot offer anything against.

Many high level mages, or just mages on higher difficulty levels, can stagger you with spells, sometimes to the point of being chain-staggered, especially if they have out a summon too, or if there are more than one of them. Reflect is also better than dodge.

Yeah it depends how you play. To reach the max with the light armors you need smithing increased beyond 100 with enchantments/potions. If you just play the game normally there is a big difference between heavy and light but if you're going to exploit the system then they probably are redundant.

I wouldn't call using normal in game enchanted clothing and potions "exploiting the system." They just really did a horrible job working out the armor-damage system. Even something as simple as making heavy armor's damage resist cap the normal 80% and setting light to like 70% would have made things serviceable, but as it stands it's a bit of a bitter pill knowing that you've lugged heavy armor around, especially early on, only to not really have it pay off in the end.

The Nexus Mod Manager (Downloader) is freakin sweat. 4 minutes until the last mod is finished downloading.

If it says "Finished Adding Mod", does that mean they're installed already? If so, what a crazily nice tool.

I started over with a 1H + shield red guard and I thought I'd be smart and do the 5/5 training for every level up but it appears I dun goofed. I was on level 1 for a fair while and it took me a while to build up enough gold to pay for 5 lots of training in heavy armour from Farkas at the companions. Once I got the 5 training I went into level up and it jumped 5 levels one after the other and didn't let me go train.

I could have used the elf in riverwood to train up my archery for free from the start but I didn't want to use any archery this play though so is there anyone else who you can get as a companion that you can do the 'training / take back money' glitch early in the game?

You'll see something on the left toolbar, i think its the first icon, its something like install mod. Just highlight the mod and click that. Once its installed it should have a checkmark next to it. So simple.

                            Nooooooo!!!!! Not Urthgerd!

Was questing on the "Elder Knowledge" main quest and had descended to the vast depths to Blackreach. I was looking all over the place, trying to find where to go, refusing to use my guide. This was my 3rd or 4th mission with Urthgerd, she had been kicking some major ***, and I was stocking her with Ebony Enchanted weapons, healing potions, and epic armor...she was my *** kicking machine. With confidence I get a little seperated from her, exploring Blackreach...

When I circle back, she's being attacked by a Giant!

Where the hell did this Giant come from?!?!?!?! When I got there it was too late, the Giant had her on hands and knees, exacting his final deathblow...Urthgerd the Unbroken was no more!!!

I dispatched of that Giant, and now I am on a warpath to kill all Giants. I am a level 38 Nord, and this Giant was the first I had killed. After exacting my revenge on the Giant who killed Urthgerd, I went to Secunda's Reach to kill a Giant there by request of the Solitude Steward....all Giants will now perish in the name of Urthgerd the Unbroken!

                            It is genocide against Giants!

I drastically underestimated how cool magic use is. I'm a level 14 I believe and so far all I'm doing is a few random quests an the Mage Colleges quests as well as its pretty awesome.

I'm trying to focus on Destruction and Enchanting but getting the enchantment level up is hard. Anyone know which person trains that skill or some hints to get that up?

I've restarted again. I can never decide what I want to be - and because of the level scaling, it kind of messes it up.

I've gone the route of Pure Mage, Battle Mage, Assassin, Warrior (1H-2H), and Paladin (1H - Shield - Healing).

Gone back to Assassin - so far it's been the most fun. I usually like magic users in games, but what I really loved in Morrowind was creating your own spells. Magic feels limited and bland for me in Skyrim.

I've had the most fun with stealth attacks - especially with 1H weapons when you sneak up from behind and get the stealth kill.

                                Hopefully this'll stick.
