Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I would really love an RPG set in the Game of Thrones universe. Or, at the very least, be able to customize armor and weapons to the extent of what the books detail. There's something very epic and grand about visualing knights riding in with helmets in the shape of hounds and rams and such.
You'll appreciate this.
PS: You guys are great.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
The original is this:
Shady the Companion Wolf
But the creator was kind enough to make Ghost for me. I'm still testing it and fine tuning it now, but it should be ready soon.PS: You guys are great.

Ask and you shall receive it appears, haha. I haven't read any details yet, just looked it up on Amazon.
I'm sure it won't be worth $60, but one can hope. Likewise, what I'm hoping for doesn't even need to be set in the same universe, but the ability to customize your armor in the ways of GoT would be awesome.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Bought skyrim for the PC and started my dual wield redguard archer and so far it's been a blast. Skyrim on the PC is insane. For anyone who says there isn't a difference between the PS3 version and PC has to be blind because so far it's been an awesome experience visually. I added a few graphics enhancement mods from the workshop like blood textures which are just amazing. No RPG can mimic the scale and adventure that skyrim has.
Quick question: Does anyone who plays the pc version use a controller or gamepad?Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Anyone with an Nvidia card should definitely grab the new drivers. I've seen a huge performance boost. I can now run the game with high or ultra shadows, before I could only use medium. Combined with the previous patch from Bethesda, the game is on a whole other level to the title I bought in November that stuttered and crashed constantly.Comment

I agree, even though the laptop defaulted to Ultra, and didn't have a hitch w/ everything enabled to the max, you can still see how much more fluid the game runs. Running fraps before, I was over 60FPS (Vanilla Skyrim), and now I've not even seen it dip to the 60FPS mark. That's with a lot of mods running.Twitter - WTF_OS

I'm not hitting 60fps but in a game like Skyrim all I need is for it to be constantly above 30. I'm going to plug it into my 50 inch plasma later tonight and see what this looks like blown up.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Yep my laptop defaulted to Ultra as well. Which is ironic considering that Nvidia's website tells me that my GT555m is below spec for Skyrim.
