    I started again w/ a Redguard.

Dude is a beast. I'm trying to roll around w/ no armor, just a straight up barbarian. Light armor possibly, but just an all around bad dude.

just joined the thieves guild. Totally different feel w this character, since I'm early on, the game is HARD. I was used to just rolling up and slaying dude's in the last playthrough, as I had on my Daedric, and was an absolute warrior.

That sounds like it's going to be a fun playthrough. Heavily considering restarting as I've built a gaming PC and scrapping my two-handed barbarian of destruction (PS3 version) because it's only fair to play skyrim in all its glory fully modded on the PC and second I want to roll as a mage or a Redguard jack of all trades build.

        Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Just got to level 18 and I'm now the Arch-Mage of the College of Winterhold. Haven't done anything else but the college's quests and damn were they cool (and hard).

Now I got the bad-*** Arch-Made Robes and the Morokei mask and my guy looks rather scary. I wish there was a way to change the colors of the Robes because he'd look like a damn Sith Lord if they were black.

Now it's just time to work on getting my enchanting skill up so I can make some nice boots/bracers to go along with the robes and mask and then maybe I'll start on the Dark Brotherhood quests.

Thieves guild is crazy. Just completed it. Need to start the side quests for rebuilding the guild. Seems like there is a LOT to do. I put in WAY too much time on it today though. Need to start the DB as well. Have my Nightingale armor.

My Jon Snow character is level 27 now. The only quest line I've focused on is the Companions and I'm still not done with it. I have the Deadly Dragons mod, Wars in Skyrim plus I started out on Master and this has been some rough going, but very fun. Almost every encounter I'm like to get one shot or my head chopped off. Have to be very careful when I'm running away because WiS spawns extra mobs of everything. I mostly run from Dragons unless there are giants and mammoths in the vicinity to distract them and do most of the work. Some dragonborn, I've only killed 2 so far.

Being a werewolf doesn't help either. I get wrecked as a werewolf and do a LOT less damage which is surprising. I may be missing out on something in regards as to how to fight as a werewolf but they seem to be paper sling-shots.

              Lotta reloads.

I would really love an RPG set in the Game of Thrones universe. Or, at the very least, be able to customize armor and weapons to the extent of what the books detail. There's something very epic and grand about visualing knights riding in with helmets in the shape of hounds and rams and such.

Yeah the GoT strategy game was on sale on Steam the other day, but I'm just not into strategy games. Like you I would love an RPG set in that world though, it'll come eventually. That story just begs for it. I just hope it lives up to my expectations.

In the meantime though I'm sure people will add some GoT inspired mods for Skyrim, in fact I remember reading not too long ago on the official forums about one in the works.

Which setting? There's different levels if you will, of that mod. I think the easiest only adds a few more mobs here and there, not much more than Vanilla. There's another that adds mostly more animals. The hardest one I think is called Dark Age, try that one lol. The setting I use applies spawns randomly and adds dragon patrols which in addition to Deadly Dragons makes for a really nice combo.

However, if you're looking for huge battles (mainly civil war battles) check out Warzones: Civil Unrest:

Ask and you shall receive it appears, haha. I haven't read any details yet, just looked it up on Amazon.

I'm sure it won't be worth $60, but one can hope. Likewise, what I'm hoping for doesn't even need to be set in the same universe, but the ability to customize your armor in the ways of GoT would be awesome.

Kind of annoyed that the HD Texture DLC doesn't seem to work on my PC. I have an older card but it has 2GB of RAM which meets their recommended specs. At first I thought it was a mod but I started from scratch with only the DLC installed and it crashes during the opening intro scene every time.

Having crashing issues with non-texture mods as well. I get too ambitious and try to add too much all at the same time. Need to go back and test each individually before installing all of them at the same time.

I'm going to try it in a few, just to see.

I need to figure out what "side" I'm going to be on. I haven't done the civil war questline either.

Perhaps my Thieves Guild Faction will just be a faction of our own, fighting the Stormcloaks and Imperials...

Wow... That mod is pure craziness. I can't run it on my laptop. I'll have to wait until he releases a smaller scale unfortunately. that is freaking sweat though.

There were probably 100 bodies lying on the ground, and another hundred fighting. Unless I attacked someone, I was good. I was walking through the battlefield picking stuff up

I ran out of VRAM for the bodies and got a Crash to Desktop though.

Very nice mod, just a bit much for a laptop.
