I just got this for my PC, and it's amazing. The combat is so much more fun than Oblivion. I'm a light armor wearing, dual wielding warrior. Not really doing much magic this go around. Right now I'm just pumping all my perks into one handed, light armor, and smithing.

It's so addicting to just go and clear every random cave I come across.

Yeah I've gotten back into it as well. Made another rogue type, I Just can't help myself, I love that play style. I do use some magic this time around though.

I might do another playthrough sometime soon, but I don't know if I'm up for it yet. I've been gaming next to non stop the past month (and it shows, with my trophy card actually filling up for once.).

As such, I'm actually a little tired. I'm not used to this.

I'll probably get into it again once the DLC drops

So how is the PS3 version holding up now after all these patches? I'd really like to pick this up, but all those lag/slowdown issues have kept me waiting.

I'm just referring to in general... I believe the consoles are up to 1.4, which from what I've read has corrected a lot of those slowdown/lag issues the ps3 version was having.

Like I said, I want to get this game, but I'm hoping that issue has been fixed, or is at least somewhat better first.

So I'm thinking of giving this another go once 1.5 drops for the 360. Maybe a Jon Snow inspired Nord, uniting Skyrim and the north for the Empire, might hold my interest.

Thats a very cool idea. I'm going to do the same.

So Archery and 1 handed or 2 handed sword primarily?

Yeah I just straight up made Jon Snow, complete with Ghost. It was fun, but 2 handed heavy armor warrior really isn't my style. I might get back into it later on though just for a change of pace.

Well he uses a the bastard sword that Mormont gave him, which was described as being longer than a long sword and is a "hand and a half" type of sword. So I just rounded up and made it a two hander. A mod called Jaysus swords had a bastard sword in it, and it was a two hander, so I thought it was perfect. Later on he added a smaller, one handed bastard so I made that too and switched sometimes just to play around with it, but primarily I stuck with the two hander and invested my perks there.

I leveled archery as well but didn't put any perks into it. As for the heavy armor well, the wolf's armor from the companions is heavy and I just thought it was pretty appropriate. Ebony is heavier too, and I figured I'd put him in that to further reflect his being a Black brother.

Yeah, I saw your posts and just decided to rip off your idea, LOL. Unfortunately I can't get Ghost on 360...

I'm torn between making him an Imperial or a Nord, though I'll definitely side with the former in the war (has to unite the continent after all). I like the wolf and ebony armor idea, though, and I'll probably use sword/shield with a bow option.

Some of you may know I had to restart because my sister deleted my save file somehow (lost 50 hours of play time).

I'm having SO MUCH fun with this. I've only done a couple missions that I even remember doing the last time I played it. I had just gotten into the Dark Brotherhood when my first game met it's end, so I made a point of getting into those missions early and DAMN are they fun. Finished up the main questline for them last night. It's amazing how loyal to that organization I'd become. Even when

Overall, after taking a couple months off and then losing my file, I've found myself enthralled by this game all over again. Normally replaying a game is kind of a pain, this has been a freaking joy. I've loved every second of it.

After about a month of laying off this game I've been getting back into, this time as Khajiit thief/assassin.

The story of this guy is that he's wanted all over Cyrodiil after a heist to rob the lead person of Bruma (I wanna say Jarl but that's not what they call them in Oblivion). He got caught but escaped and headed for Skyrim, and as he was crossing the border he and that horse thief got caught with the Stormcloaks.

After he escaped Helgen he was even poorer than before, so he poked around and found the thieves guild, where so far he's been becoming very rich honing his skills and doing jobs for them, along with pickpocketing random people.

After I've finished that he's gonna become bored with the lack of conflict and how easy life is in the Thieves Guild (or so I assume it'll be), and he begins getting the urge to kill. He joins up on the Dark Brotherhood, and when I become the Listener, Thieves and Assassins will unite and destroy every damn Stormcloak, Imperial, and Forsworn!

Anyways, it's been loads more playing as a thief. I've been combining Archery with unarmed strikes, sadly my enchanting is bad and anything that increases hand to hand combat isn't very good. Still, it's interesting to pound a Bandits face in rather than decapitate him.
