    Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Totally spent like three hours today getting my smithing up 10 lvls to 80, then scouring the world for Ebony to make my new suit of Armor. And had a great time doing it. I don't understand how this game makes mundane tasks fun. I think something happened to my horse though. I traveled to Riften, and tried to mount a horse that looked like mine, but it wasn't, so I paid the fine, but still haven't found my horse.

Also, found an exploit that makes selling things soooo much easier. If you get all of a shopkeep's gold, you can save, then kill them, then reload the save, and they'll have their inventories reset. Makes it so I don't have piles of crap I couldn't get rid of lying around.

I just reached lvl 32 & i think im burnt out on the game. It feels very repetitive now running as sword & board, sometimes two handed. Just cant get into it anymore. I think I'll take a break...

      Anyone else feel like this?

Skyrim has been one game where I have no problem staying interested in once I start playing it. That said, I haven't been playing much of anything lately really. I have the desire to start a new character, same build you're burnt out on now.

Same here. I go through stages with certain titles. I've recently been on an EA sports binge lol. FNC, NCAA, and Madden 12. Haven't played Skyrim in weeeeeks man.

Finding all 30 of the "Crimson Ninroot" in Blackreach is a ****ing chore.

Especially when you only have three left.

Just remember to get one first, then go initiate the quest. For some reason the game doesn't count more than one until then. Thank you previous saves.

Luckily it seems that I did it that way as I just got 30 (well 31, I apparently used one accidentally at some point) and the quest continued.

                Holy **** Blackreach is huge.

There's a mod out called Blackreach Railroad with a train system that takes you all around it. Looks pretty cool.

My first trip in to Blackreach I picked up 16 and finally got tired of looking and wanted to get on with something else in the game. I went back... low and behold at some point they regrow... didn't have any problems finding the next 14.

Skyrim has had me captivated since I purchased it in late November. I still find it hard to believe how huge the world is. I'm still finding new spots as I'm trying to finish all the quests(side quests included) that I can before I finish the main quest.

Can't wait for Dawnstar. Hopefully I'll finish the original game by then.

It would be really cool if your current character could be a follower for your character in Dawnstar.

Thinking about getting this game again. I had it for PS3 but I stopped playing it then my system died. Might pick it up this weekend for Xbox since I really want to play an RPG.

Traded mine in a while ago. Picked up a used copy yesterday and am incredibly happy to be back. Was getting bored of my normal game rotation.

I have a question for the skyrim veterans here.

It seems like I've been doing only the main quest. Not on purpose or for any reason, just the way I've been playing.

Read a lot about doing there main quest too fast or whatever. My question is, how should I progress with side/other quests? Is there a rhyme or reason to doing quest a other than the main line? Or just grab random quests and do them? I'm level 13 and kind of overwhelmed on where to restart if you will.

                              Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I'd try to focus on a handful of quests at a time. Your quest log can get really convoluted if you're not careful. I like to keep mine mostly clean. When I start a new character, I try to focus on a specific area, or a specific quest-line. If I'm being area specific, I only take 2-3 quests at a time, finish them, then see what else is around for me to do in that area. If I'm being quest-line specific, then that's it. Outside of bounties, I'm not taking any other quests until I'm done.

That's easier said than done sometimes though, since there are times where quests are initiated without you really realizing it. It helps to know the triggers, especially if you're trying to role play the character. For instance, if I decided to play a do-good type of character, I'd never pick up an unusual stone, because it initiates a questline that I would have to become a member of the thieves guild to complete. Another is if I'm trying to avoid deadric artifact quests until later, I know not to ask about rumors since some are triggered that way and I don't want the quest sitting in my log until I'm ready to do it.

Is it OK that I just got the quest from Paarhanax (sp) to get the elder scroll already at level 13? I have been enjoying the MQ (even as most haven't) and have always been too a.d.d to concentrate on side quests. But now I'm feeling maybe I'm going to fast, and should maybe dabble in some worldly things/quests/stray from the beaten path for a little. I know its entirely up to me, and the game is meant to be played how said player wants to play. I'm just worried I'll get too far ahead.
