Alftand and Blackreach were not fun to go through at all. Tough mission.

It amazes me how long I've played this game, and how I have only completed about 4 main mission quests in over 100 hours of gameplay. Needless to say I like this game that much that I enjoy riding around adventuring. It does suck when you find a cave to early but oh well. This game is awesome.

For some reason, I couldn't get "into" skyrim like I did Oblivion, and I HATED the Oblivion gates. Not sure what the differences were.

I'm enjoying Skyrim immensely. Always when I am ready to do a main quest. I find myself setting off to do another side quest. Don't know many hours I have spent on the game yet. For the time being I am going solo. Don't feel like having someone tagging along. Anyway, thought I'd share what my character Tymvir looks like.

I used Aela as my companion until we got married, and then I switched to the Khagit at the College that can wear heavy armor.

                  Must manual travel everywhere!

The only time I don't manual travel is when I want to go to one of my homes and make a quick dump of loot so I'm not over encumbered. Quick fast travel, stash items, and then fast travel back as if nothing ever happened

I started out doing that but ended up fast travelling nearly everywhere later on. I never liked the horses (it would be fine if they let you shoot arrows / magic from horseback) so it takes ages to walk / run everywhere and I didn't have the time.

Ehh, I will ride through a holds lands looking for stuff, but I rarely manually travel. Just don't have the time. Like I got side tracked about 6 times from Riften to Solitude.

Also yes if we could fire some arrows on horseback that would be great. Hate having to jump off the horse just to slay a stupid bear, wolf, assassin ect.

Game is more enjoyable if you fast travel in my opinion. I tried to manual travel when it first came out and I got bored quickly. This time around has been much better thanks to me finally submitting to fast travel.

The world is simply too massive for me not to fast travel to things.

I don't have time to spend running half an hour from Riften to Dawnstar. I'd like to, because it's a gorgeous game and there's a bunch of fun stuff I'm sure I could distract myself with on the way, but if I want to get anything done I have to fast travel.

This goes expressly against how I played Red Dead Redemption, which I never fast traveled in, but that game wasn't nearly as massive as this one.

Apparently we're getting Mounted Combat with the latest patch.

While this is nice for my new archer, I'm more interested in if they can add these little things in via patches. Maybe there is hope for some of the stuff in the Game Jam video Todd showed.

Steam>Settings...go to the Beta Participation section near the bottom, hit the "Change" button and and add Skyrim Beta Update from the dropdown menu. restart Steam and it'll start downloading.

Of course they can add those things via patches, that's what they're doing. The ranged kill cams were added last patch. Mounted combat this one. The question(s) with pretty much all of the stuff we saw in the game jam video is not if it can be added but will it and when?
