Maybe it is just me but I always have to play Elder Scrolls and other fantasy RPGs as a Human. I just don't have the connection with another race.
I might roll as a female human thief/assassin actually after being inspired by one of my favorite characters from A Song of Fire and Ice series.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Same here. That is how I roll in Dragon Age and that is how I will roll in Skyrim. Usually I am an Elf. I like being a different race as it pulls me in more to the fantasy aspect of RPG's. Being something I am not and race is a huge part of that for me.
Very very excited for this title. But first I must finish Batman AC. I can't stop playing that game till I do every side mission and the main storyline. And I still have 2 chapters left in Dead Space 2 that I have not touched since Batman came out.
I don't kow When I will even pick up Madden, The Show and 2K11 again at this point!
I have not even played more than 2 hours of Battlefield 3....yeah amazing. But that game feeling like I been there and done that. I don't know why I even bothered buying that. I guess because I logged 200 hours of MP on BFBC2.
I am just not interested in it right now with all this awesomeness in Batman and soon Skyrim.Last edited by Armor and Sword; 11-10-2011, 07:56 AM.Now Playing on PS5:

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I always do a basic warrior hack and slash guy first time through. I think I'll start with a bosmer female good with a bow and stealth this time. Throw in some illusion magic and see how it goes. If I'm not having fun, I'll switch to a redguard that dabbles in all types of badassery.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
My buddy at work took the night off (we both work third shift) to hit up the midnight opening and play all night. Lucky for me, he's picking up my copy and dropping it off for me at work before he heads home to play, so I can pop it in as soon as I get home at 7am
Can't believe we are t-minus 24 hours now fellas. Feels like just yesterday the game was announced, and now it's on the eve of release. Here's to many lost hours of sleep!Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
That's what I want to do but I don't know. I have a small table I can use so that would certainly work. I'm so comfortble now being at PC/Laptop Desk that I may just keep it where its at and just have th new monitor to look forward to. We'll see.Joshua:

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
With the way my apartment is set up, my PC is already next to my TV. Not to mention I have like a 6 foot DVI > HDMI cable...I'll probably be playing on my 46" Samsung when I start playing tomorrow.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
If Steam doesn't unlock this game at exactly midnight EST, I'm going to throw a hissy fit like a grounded teenage girl.
I've read the reviews today around the internet and I'm seriously pumped. I don't know if I've been this excited before about a game that will inevitably end up on my list of dozens and dozens of unfinished games. I've put in over a hundred hours in Oblivion and I'm still getting new quests and I'm sure this game will be the same.
I'm kind of feeling sorry right now for the new Assassin's Creed game. You don't want to have the release date that follows this and Modern Warfare 3. Gamers are going to be either flush out of cash or time to play.Comment
