Thanks for the screens. Before I bought a new HDD, I just used Skyrim Realistic Overhaul since it was true to vanilla Skyrim. Didn't know if adding Skyrim 2k and Serious HD would be worth it since I feel like SRO is still the best texture overhaul.

Is there a step by step guide anywhere out there for installing mods? I tried once and could never get them to load. I need a Mods for Dummies. I just want visual enhancements for now.

        Copy from original folder.
Paste into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data or in the case of ENB files: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\.
Make sure they've active in mod manager/Skyrim launcher.
        Done.

Just fired up a new game last night. Trying to finish it this time. Starting with the main quest and going from there. I figure I'm in-between graduating and getting my first job so I have plenty of time on my hands. Haven't finished a game like this ever so I'm looking forward to it.

I think my problem was getting confused with the Nexus mod manager.

So, I am looking to get back into this. Would someone be so kind as to give me a rundown of the PS3 versions of the DLC, I've heard some horror stories about Dawnguard, what about Dragonborn?

I'm not sure what you mean by that, but I have both for the PC version, and they're pretty expansive in what they give you in so I think they're worth it.

I've never had a single issue with either of them on PS3.

Can any of y'all explain why my shadows look like "nets" over rocks? Is it from self-shadowing? The image below was taken at the Lunar Force (inside Silent Moon Camp)...so there is no cover overhead. Also, should note, the only texture mods I'm using that could potentially effect rock textures is Serious HD and Skyrim Realistic Overhaul.

                    Any help is appreciated.

Dragonborn is great, Dawnguard is just ok IMO. You missed a nice sale they had at the start of the year when all three DLCs were half off. Dragonborn is the must buy of the 3, but Hearthfire is worth 10 bucks if you're into building a big house (I am).

Dragonborn was the best of the add-ons.

Dawnguard was small and limited, and Hearthfire you get to adopt kids that stay young and annoying forever.

Check the wiki on the specifics if you need them, but my opinion.. Dragonborn was the only one worth the cost.

I must say this game OWNS me right now. I'm completely wrapped up in it. I just wish it wasn't so damn big! I keep finding new places and getting new quests before I even get used to the last place I visited.

This happens to me a lot, too.

I just got done with the Dawnguard quest and was amazed by how much I liked it. I guess it was low expectations because of the reviews, but I thought it was a ton of content for a DLC package. I got at least 10 hours out of it. Not to mention, a lot of the newer worlds were really atmospheric.

Also, I don't know how people could go without the crossbow.

Only problem I had with this game was in pre-patch PS3. Horrible load times, pop in galore and glitches. After the patch however it was fine.
