If you don't mind dealing with Malaria, respawning enemies at Outposts, deteriorating weapons, etc... You'll enjoy it.

this was an absolute deal breaker for me. A developer even said it wasn't in the game and talked about taking it out but they released it that way anyway thinking it was "more challenging" or some BS like that. It's just like Fable in that if you move a few hundred metres away something clicks and it's automatic. I could have lived with it if they respawned like 2 game days later, but it was just so annoying the way they did it.

Yeah, that was a dealbreaker for me too....just took some of the fun out of it and made it more grinding with having to deal with all those guys again.

Wow, EXACTLY where I'm at. I just saved Oliver too.

I do lots of hunting and side missions....I like to tackle the hunting missions and 'Wanted Dead' missions after I take outposts...so much to do! I haven't even begun to do serious relic hunting yet, either, which I plan to really scour the first island before moving on to the second. Good times!

Same here brother. I dont want to blow by this game so I have done the same. I just finished capturing every single outpost and completing all the mission from them. I found every radio tower, and now im finally off to finish the game

Oh yes, kill 100 dudes at a location, come back 2 minutes later and it's like you were never there.

Either way, doesn't bother me. This game is just pure fun. I've completed all the hunting/crafting missions. I feel like I have a while to go before the story is completed. I still have a lot of towers to unlock.

Didn't play much of 2. Just ran around lighting grass on fire until something killed me. Fire in that game was awesome

I've gotten to the second island and I've just hit a wall. I probably played too much, too soon but I have almost no desire to play anymore.

Far Cry 3 is a great game, but if you get the PC version make sure you have the hardware to run it. Otherwise your PC will cry.

What's the multiplayer like? Enough people on there? I've heard the servers were Crap at launch, have the fixed them?

Same here brother. I dont want to blow by this game so I have done the same. I just finished capturing every single outpost and completing all the mission from them. I found every radio tower, and now im finally off to finish the game

Yeah, I finished upgrading everything last night (all the stuff that can be crafted is at max now), and bought the Shredder and...the nasty shotgun. Me likey....

Next up is to get the last tower and outpost on the north island, then finish up anything and everything I'd like to do on north island before crossing the water.

Yeah, I finished upgrading everything last night (all the stuff that can be crafted is at max now), and bought the Shredder and...the nasty shotgun. Me likey....

Next up is to get the last tower and outpost on the north island, then finish up anything and everything I'd like to do on north island before crossing the water.

I thought we can't access the South Island until later in the Story? I could be wrong... Someone who knows help me out.

Since Xmas I have beaten Darkness 2 , RE6 , Hitman Absolution, Kill Zone 3, now far cry 3. Im off to play Sleeping dogs.

I had rented it when it came out on Gamefly, but never finished it. Wifey bought it for me on xmas for a very good price so now I can finish that game off.

Then I have a few more to tackle sitting in my library.

2012 was probably the best year for games current gen. So many amazing choices last year. 2013 has its work cut out but the rumor is that it could be even bigger. Hard to imagine.

I'm not much of an FPS guy but these kind I can deal with. Heard so many good things about this game. Picking this up together with Sleeping Dogs on Tuesday.

Free 'High Tides' co-op content for Far Cry 3 is washing up on PlayStation Network shores on Tuesday, January 15. The PS3-exclusive DLC includes two chapters, Jailbreak and Redemption, that tell the epilogue of the game's co-op campaign.

The co-op is fun but the mics suck so hard. This is 2013, why can't ubisoft make all their games with working voice chat?
