Yeah, you need to see what animals you need and hunt them out early on....Wallet and backpacks fill up fast, so nice to upgrade when you can.

Path of the Hunter quests come with taking outposts.

        LOL yeah...

Essentially you hunt various animals and skin them, and with certain skins you make packs that hold different things...that gives you the ability to hold more.

IMO it was a fun part of the game. I enjoyed going around the map looking for certain kinds of animals...Plus, the tigers, sharks, gators, and other animals can be pretty deadly. I've been killed a few times by random leopards I didn't see.

It is similar to Red Dead where you do all that.

One nice thing.....once you kill/gather enough of a certain species...it prompts you to craft the item.

I was killing pigs today and a ****ing tiger attacked me. Only thing I had was a pistol and a rapidly running out of ammo AK47.

****ing tiger scared the **** out of me, though. Too bad the bastard killed me.

                      You're in a wild area.
You've got to be aware of your surroundings and listen.
(while "overdone"...the animal sounds are key to being prepared ...especially when you're hiding from pirates...and you hear the leopard or tiger growl...I say "overdone" in paras.....because it's done on purpose, so you at least can get ready)

Fighting off animals...is trying to get higher ground especially something they can't climb...like the top of a truck if komodo's come after you. Komodos are usually in packs...so trying to take them out by holding ground is not a sound idea.

Been playing for a few days now. I do so much "scouting" when it comes to games that it's extremely rare when good old fashion Word of mouth surprises me with an unexpected masterpiece.

I'm stunned at how good this game is and being only about 10% done, I know that it is only going to get better. I've always hated crafting and hunting in games, but the way it's implemented in this game is fun and totally makes sense.

Gameplay mechanics are solid, and I also like that the game rewards you for patience and creativity.

                          Simply a great game.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

This is a good game, but when it says 10 percent done I think it means the entire game including finding everything and taking down all the outpost etc, not the main story. Check to see how many missions of the main story you have completed to get more of a sense of how far you are in the story.
