Finally tried out the demo, wow..just wow.

Obviously after reading a lot of comments, the first thing I did was aim for the jewels 8D I was blown away literally (no pun intended)
There was also a part where I shot a guy in the chest, and it exploded and then I was like "wtf? Since when do hearts explode like that?" then I realized that I shot the grenade on his chest and it blew up him and his friend, amazing detail. Will probably pick it up soon.
Why did I move here? I guess it was the weather.

Have to say that the X-ray and bullet time are nice. Definitely on my wish list for later.

Just so you guys know, competitive multiplayer will only be on PC for Sniper Elite v2. It will only be coop on consoles.
The first details of the multiplayer component of Sniper Elite V2 have finally been revealed by Rebellion games. Sniper Elite V2 will feature both competitive and co-operative modes on PC. However, Xbox 360 and PS3 owners will only get the co-op modes. Last month, the following  2 player online co-op modes have been confirmed via forum post, […]

I actually bought the 1st one to play so I could have an idea of what this is and to get used to it

Do any of you guys like the original?

is it as good as this demo?

I absolutley loved the origninal. It was WAY harder than the demo and took a long time, you literally had to crawl everywhere. It wasn't for everyone, and it will probably seem a bit dated given it came out in 2004 or 2005

DL'd the demo and I stink.
I struggled getting out of the initial building.

What I didn't understand was how I think(?) I hit the first guard (leaning against building) with a head shot, but he never dies.
It shows blood splattering against the wall, but the guard gets back up and comes after you.
If I hit him in the stomach then he dies instantly.
                      Weird.

I think your game is glitched. I'm pretty sure he dies no matter what as long as you hit him.

lol... How did he not die with a head shot? I'm assuming you have glitch or you aren't hitting him with kill shot. Does it show the slow mo kill?

This game plays a little to run and gun. I played where I was super stealthy on the hardest difficulty and then played pretty recklessly and basically it is far too easy to just run and gun. The AI know instantly where you are on the hardest difficulty, yet you can take 3 or 4 hits and not die. I think they do some good things, but the game needs a lot of work.

I think this is more a preference thing. For instance I like the more "brutal" and action sequence in the demo. While it might not be pure stealth sniper realism. The fun and thrill of seeing these fantastic kill shots make up for the more slow methodical approach you would expect.

Now with that said, I do expect some tweaks and also missions in the game to be very stealthy. Think of COD 4 where you had to sneak past all the troops in the grass. I expect moments like that. I don't think it will all be run & gun. So I think some freedom to play it how you want has been given from the developers.

The kill shots are the best part of the game. I guess was expecting it to be hard to just stand up and start shooting at guys in full view and the way the health system works, it just isn't that hard. Plus the AI is way too smart and knows instantly where you are. Just seems a little silly.
