Just noticed that along with the revular extras you get from pre-ordering, STEAM is giving away CIV V for free also for those who pre-order XCOMLast edited by Skyboxer; 09-24-2012, 03:57 PM.Joshua:

That's why I preordered it for my 360 already. I've read nothing but great things about this game since it's inception as a remake. Definitely going to be my GOTY, I absolutely loved the original.Yes. XCOM: Enemy Unknown Is Really Good.

 re: XCOM: Enemy Unknown

Played through the demo, it's 2 missions and then pre-ordered the game. You don't get CIV V yet though it has to unlock and its at 54% now.

The demo is quite large at 5G and I'm surprised by that I guess they didn't want to build a smaller version and just used the pre release with a stop point.

It's pretty fun and I was able to play it with a controller and it worked well. Can't wait.XBL: Countach

 how to change the difficulty

Just go to the XCOM demo steam install folder (\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\XCom-Enemy-Unknown-Demo\Engine\Config).

And then open "BaseGame.ini" with notepad, edit the line "GameDifficulty=+0.0" change this to "GameDifficulty=+3.0"

 0.0 easy
 1.0 normal
 2.0 classic
 3.0 impossible

The demo is set to easy I changed to classic and started losing guys.Comment

 re: XCOM: Enemy Unknown

Game is a blast! All settings maxed out and runs butter smooth.
Gameplay is addicting as usual. I did switch it to 2.0 difficulty and yeah I've failed some lol

I am going to be deep into this game for a long time once it releases.

The face textures are not very good and some of the textures seem flat but the explosions and effects are pretty nice. With XCOM though it's all about the gameplay and so far it's all I expected.

 Can't wait for release!!Joshua:
