Just picked up my copy from Best Buy instead of Gamestop. Didn't even pre-order and still got the DLC. The code comes in the box

I think all who didn't pre-order and get a copy early are gonna luck out.

I pre-ordered but the Gamestop guy made it seem to me like I didn't need to.

He was saying that they aren't printing up pre-order codes on the receipts as per usual. He said "it's already in the game box" referring to what you're talking about.

The Elite Soldier Pack that comes with early release copies of the game. Like in the pic Skyboxer showed, it has that sticker at the bottom next to the 9.5 GI rating sticker.

Can't wait to start playing soon! Just got home, gonna have dinner then it's probably game on.

Almost the entire game is randomized. I didn't play the demo, but the tutorial is scripted. Maybe it's that?

Ok I know this is "Noobish" but at what point does the actual game start?? I have done the tutorial and now I have been asked to do a "Council Mission".

Also I do remember someone saying you should start from scratch after doing the training??? Any help/tips for a first-timer to get me going would be appreciated.

You will be able to tell. Once the game stops basically telling you what to do during you mission and in between the tutorial is over.

From what I can gather...the DLC is going to be maps and armor.

The pre-order bonus was the elite pack(I pre-ordered on Steam...and didn't get the pre-order bonus for some reason..perhaps because it was 24 hours before release)...and the ability to more fully customize your players(better customization of the armor and giving nicknames(I can only rename)

One thing.....I wish they would let you edit the country of origin for you player(unless that is available to the pre-order bonus players)

Nope. You can't edit country of origin with the preorder either (or if you can, it's well hidden). I wish you could edit that too though.

As for the nicknames, you have to be given one by the game first. Once a solider is given a nickname, then it's editable like the other names.
