Re: SimCity 5
For you guys who ran out of money - I read somewhere that the money resets when the city is claimed by a different mayor from the original one. So maybe if you abandon it, someone else takes over the city and abandons it, then the original mayor picks it back up, you'd have your money back. It's just what I've heard, I haven't seen it work and I don't know if it would reset the land plot. But if you're really stuck I could help do that, just friend me on Origin (same name as here).
There is one other way to effectively "start over" that I now know of, but I'm going to spoiler tag it as it's extremely cheap and allows you to potentially start with more money than you had initially. It also won't work if you're already broke.
SpoilerBasically, when you know it's unrecoverable trap whatever citizens are left in your town and hike up the taxes before you go completely broke. Main way to do this is just cut your town off from the highway. Even though they'll try to leave town, they'll still get taxed and you'll still make the money. Then just raze the city and start freash once you've got all the money you need.
I really think they're going to patch that somehow at some point...Last edited by bcruise; 03-11-2013, 06:15 PM.Comment

Re: SimCity 5
anyone aware of the population challenge? its not active yet, but when it is does anyone wanna help me get it, top 15% that get a million sims in a region in the fastest time get an award or some ish, i've already come up with ideas to do it, all we need to do is have everyone make high density streets following the street guidelines and making it residential, of course we're gonna need to give them services, but do not even worry about making commercial or industrial, cause the sims will still move in, i havent tried it to the full extent but i have tried for a while and did just residential zoning and people kept moving inComment
