Preordered official switched from Aliens to this. AI still seems a little sketchy, but the guy did say it wasn't on Supersoldier or whatever the highest difficulty in Crysis 3 is. Already like the MP from the beta, so I should get quite a bit out of this game.



That is not entirely correct. They built the console and pc versions seperately, they didn't simply port one over to the other. I mean obviously the console version won't look nearly as good, but it's not because they ported the pc version and simply downgraded it.

Also I wouldn't neccassarily assume the MP will look the same as SP. It is pretty common for MP in games to not look as good as the SP. I would still expect the SP to look at least as good as Crysis 2. The console version should still be impressive, just not jawdropping like the PC version.

Okay thanks for correcting me I just assumed that's what they did. Still looking forward to the game for the PS3 as I have enjoyed the beta and the final product should be even better. MP won't be for everbody I know but I have had fun with it. Should be a great overall package.

Commerical for the casual? I actually imagined the helmet goes off and LeBron James stepping out of the suit.

I played a bit of Crysis 2 but never finished it. Lost interest though the game sure is pretty. Is there a big diff. from 2 or more along the lines? How long is the story? Thank you to anyone who responds. Game on!

While obviously, this is purely speculation based on the information we have, but supposedly Crysis 3 is more open in it's level design than Crysis 2, allowing for a wider variety of approaches to situations. Still not as open as Crysis 1, though. The more open level design and the bow being added seem to be the biggest changest/additions from Crysis 2. Don't expect a completely different game than Crysis 2 though, but if it is more open that should make it feel different on some level.

As far as the length of the story I am not sure, it will probally depend on the approach the player takes and difficulty. I remember seeing a Crysis dev another site say it would take the average player 8 hours of so, which unfortunately would be shorter than Crysis 2. The first review for it did claim to have completed it in 5-6 hours, which is concerning, though it is not uncommon for reviewers to rush through games. Hoping the level design will end being more open to encourage multiple playthroughs if it ends being somewhat short. Short SP campaigns are pretty much the norm these days, unfortunately.

To be honest if I was only planning on playing the SP I probally wouldn't be buying it at full price, but I liked the MP from the beta so I should get my money's worth from both.

Like I said though, reviewer could have been rushing through or playing on the easier difficulty. To be honest if this game isn't any harder than Crysis 2, I don't see any point in not playing on Supersoldier. I find that most of the time, whatever length reviewers say, it normally takes me signficantly longer. If it only takes 5 or 6 hours for me, I will be dissapointed, but it is the type of game that could lend itself to multiple playthroughs if it is more open than Crysis 2.

Anyways, I would wait for reviews to get some more opinions on the length, but like I said for me I normally add at least 2 to 3 hours to what reviewers say.

Also I wanted to mention said reviewer gave it 9/10 despite the length, so he was obviously quite impressed with what he played. He called it Crytek's best effort yet.

Agreed thayt reviewer's time is on the short side for the most part. I'm still on the fence but 20 back from Best Buy plus the first game might make me cave.

Origin preload complete, ready and waiting. By the way anyone know why the beta game is still in origin library? Will it go away or do you just have to hide it?
