Re: State of Decay (GTA meets Zombie Apocalypse - Xbox Exclusive)
I moved into a cool warehouse in the very South West of the map (not the one on the mid west of the map). It's in a decent place with lots of building material supplies around it.. Have spent a ton of time since I moved there trying to build my materials back up and them upgrade. Only thing I don't like about places is that you can't upgrade things that are already there (like the living quarters and things like that). If you want to upgrade one of those you would have to build a new one in one of the building spots. I can't have all of the things I'm wanting so I'm thinking of destroying the garden so I can build a LibraryComment

Re: State of Decay (GTA meets Zombie Apocalypse - Xbox Exclusive)
Just eight to switch houses, twelve for the one I want. I'm certain I can find some more, I'm just going to have to go out of my way to do it.
Part of it is that it took me a while to get the hang of this game, and by the time I finally did, I was way behind. Maya died on me, which sucks because I had really only been playing with her and Marcus. Got torn asunder by a Feral Zed. It was brutal.Writer for Operation Sports

I just kick them twice until they go into that 'kneel-down' posture, then LB+Y to knee-crush their skull. Saves durability on my melee weapon for the oh-crap moments and I generally just kung-fu them to death.Comment

It would be fun to have a nice grappling engine in there. But considering this is a world where one scratch could mean infection and death, I can understand kicking with a rubber-soled boot vs. flesh-on-flesh where a busted knuckle could kill you.Comment

Re: State of Decay (GTA meets Zombie Apocalypse - Xbox Exclusive)
Did you guys know that time passes when you aren't playing the game?
Time passes most swiftly when you're first offline. Then it drops off. We assume our players are adults and may need to be gone for months at a time. As long as you left things in pretty good shape, you shouldn't really be able to tell a difference between a week and a year away.Comment

Re: State of Decay (GTA meets Zombie Apocalypse - Xbox Exclusive)
You can build an outpost in any searchable building, but you can only build a home base in certain predetermined buildings. It will say "potential home spot" on the map if it's possible.
The Church you start in has a minimum capacity of 5.
McReady Farm in the middle of the map has a minimum capacity of 8.
There's a real good spot in a warehouse to the south west of town with a capacity of 12 that I am aiming for next.
Getting new followers is easy if you use the radio in your home base to constantly signal for potential survivors. I am up to 13 people now and am probably going to move soon to the warehouse.Comment

I've been sitting on 13 survivors for a while. The Farmhouse is incredibly safe aside from sending runners to and from. I actually had 16 people at one point but some sort of sickness came in and wiped out two of them. Then another one died on an unauthorized supply run.
You can basically build up survivors whenever you want just by utilizing the radio calls. I'm sitting on 13 until I can save up enough materials to move into the Warehouse.Comment
