Re: State of Decay (GTA meets Zombie Apocalypse - Xbox Exclusive)
Just had my first playable character death. Recently moved into Mcready Farm, scavenging a nearby farm with Maya, a Feral crept up on her and had it's way, definitely brutal and dissapointing. I have Marcus essentialy maxed out in every category except stamina, I'll have to work on bulding up some more characters.
I would like to move into the huge warehouse in marshall soon but I can't seem to build my community up to the minimum 12 occupants required. The closest i've been is 11, but with the loss of the pastor, Alan and Maya i'm sitting at 8. Ed Jones has also been missing for quite some time, i'm assuming he won't be found.
I've had Lilly radio out looking for potential survivors that could be added to my community with no success. Does anyone know if you gain enough trust with neighbors, is there an option allowing them as an addition to your community?
If so, I would definitely love to bring in the survivors at The Grange, my trust is almost maxed with them.Green Bay Packers | Milwaukee Bucks | Milwaukee BrewersComment

Also sometimes you need to pass a certain point (side or main) to radio more survivors.5Comment

Re: State of Decay (GTA meets Zombie Apocalypse - Xbox Exclusive)
Just keep radioing for survivors and you'll build up your ranks soon enough.
Funny that even after spending over a week in Microsoft's certification hell, the first patch for this game is still broken.
Now we have to wait through another week-plus of certification for patch two to arrive.
PS4 cannot come soon enough.Comment

Man, I was so dumb and got Marcus killed in a house searching for supplies.
I just got overran and backed myself up in a corner and during combat my weapon broke.
And I JUST got to the church so I only have Maya to use.
Oh well, I do love a challenge!

Re: State of Decay (GTA meets Zombie Apocalypse - Xbox Exclusive)
When did you get the game?
SpoilerNote: In order to get the game out to our players in Germany as quickly as possible, we had to release a “new” version of the game. Due to a mistake made during publication, the new version was sold all over the world instead of just in Germany. That means that everyone who bought State of Decay on or after Wednesday June 12 has the newer version, and will get TU1 in about a week. (Each Title Update has to be certified for each version.)
How can you tell which version you have? Updates are automatic. If you see the message that a title update is available when you start the game, you’re good to go.
Once we get South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand online, we’ll get everyone synced up on the same version. Meanwhile, we wanted to get these wonderful improvements out to as many people as possible without any delays.
And while TU1 is getting certified for our newest players, we’re already on to Title Update 2. Watch our forums for patch notes coming soon. Real soon. See you next weekComment

None of the glitches have been game crippling to me and really nothing more than a slight annoyance.

Re: State of Decay (GTA meets Zombie Apocalypse - Xbox Exclusive)
for those looking to move but having trouble staying at 12 survivors like me... I did a mission to find a missing survivor, but instead of brining her back to my previous base (Church) I drove all the way to my new desired one and made the switch when I arrived. Finding her brought me to 12, but I think since I was mid-mission the game didn't let anyone else go missing? I tried twice before and someone got lost as I was literally racing in a sportscar hardcore to get to the new spot. So I was either lucky or my strategy worked!
Funny thing is even after the switch I still had to return her to the church, and I got credit, but then she immediatey started running towards the other side of the map lol ... it reminded me of fallout 3 pathing
One thing I've tried but not yet been able to get to work is to get a 'materials' outpost. Materials is the only thing I use up right away, I'm good everywhere else, but those are in short supply and I feel like I may have found them all and that's itLiquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Re: State of Decay (GTA meets Zombie Apocalypse - Xbox Exclusive)
There are many places you’d expect to see an announcement of the PC version of a game. Xbox Wire – the official news pipe for Microsoft’s various, randomly numbered console boxes – isn’t one of them. Despite that, Jeff Strain, founder of Undead Labs, used an interview with the site to confirm the PC version of their open world zombie survival game State of Decay. The man at Microsoft whose job is to systematically exorcise all mention of the PC is going to be in a lot of trouble.
When asked what’s next for the game, Strain replied, “We’re currently working on a PC version for release on Steam. Fortunately it’s been in development alongside the Xbox 360 version since Day 1, so we just need to integrate with the Steam platform and add native support for keyboard and mouse control.”There are many places you'd expect to see an announcement of the PC version of a game.
