    Re: Dragon Age III: Inquisition

played a bit on PC, got through prologue as a Human Mage. Can tell the game is more for controller and console, other than the ability hotbar. It's going to take some getting used to, or I need to dive into the control settings, but the movement is more like DA2 from what I can remember, and not like DA:O. Not sure why they took out healing magic. I believe in DA lore it was one of the most common magic, so it seems odd.

Not sure if I want to continue as a mage or try a few other classes before going further than the prologue. In DA:O, my main character was a dual-wielding warrior, but that hasn't been an option since that game. I don't even remember how I played DA2, don't think I even finished it.

will need to dive into some of the options before moving on, especially controls. so far, It seems promising. I've only done the prologue, so can't say too much of the game beyond that.

Its weird in one of the cutscenes later this lady says, "Let the Mages help your pain".

I was like and let me take him with me as well. Lol. Im guessing they did it for a more tactical approach to combat as to not use it as a crutch. Make your Health pots and Buff spells more important.

RPG guy and not a fan of BG? Interesting.

Real good read into the healing mechanics. Apparently you can craft health regeneration armor and weapons. To top it off you can stack defenses with different spells, armor, etc.

That's what I am thinking too. In DA:O I always had to carry Wynne in the party, at least until the ashes quest. Without a healer taking a spot you have more options with who you travel around with. Hopefully, the change works out.

If you don't like BG or that style of game you really may want to pass on this.
