What system do you have it on pietasterp? I finally tried out multiplayer so my single player is on a hold for a little bit. You have any suggestions on what characters to use? I'm using a Turian Sentinel but I really have no idea which classes/races are better.

I don't know if there's a best class...they tweak so often what was good before is nerfed now. Geth Infiltrator used to rock, Turian Ghost is awesome, and I always liked the heavy weapon soldiers and any N7 class character.Comment

Started a new play through on ps3 for the first time. I completed the game on 360 and it is by far my favourite game series. The graphics are superior on the ps3 for the first instalment.
This is my new Shepard. I will try and go more renegade this time. I am using the Adept class.

Re: Mass Effect Trilogy releasing this November on 360/PS3/PC (including ME1 on PS3)
I'm nearly 40 hours into my second playthrough of ME2 on Insanity, just working on my loyalty missions before grabbing the IFF.
The whole game changes on Insanity. Your powers are so critical ... biotics are way more valuable, and health upgrades early on can save a broken controller (or two ...). A lot more strategy to beating different types of enemies, I'm really blown away at how hard yet involved it is. And to what many have said, it's starting to get much easier, and a lot more fun.
Can't wait to beat this game and import my ME1 and 2 playthroughs into ME3 for my very first playthrough of the final game.Comment

Finally finished yet another ME 1 and ME 2 playthough. Looking forward to going through ME3 for the second time with all of the DLC I didn't play the first time.

Minutes away from grabbing the IFF, and I've literally done EVERY mission. Every side assignment, all the DLC, and everyone is loyal. 55 hours in ...
Once Legion is loyal, I'm grabbing that freakin platinum and moving on to ME3!!Comment

Re: Mass Effect Trilogy releasing this November on 360/PS3/PC (including ME1 on PS3)
quick question here..
im trying to find out what exactly is the difference between buying the trilogy new vs buying the trilogy used.
note: i already have ME2 (used) but ive never played it yet, think of trading it in towards the purchase of the trilogy.
1.
i wont be playing online.
2.
is the dlc "essential" to the story or just extra side missions to do?
3.
i was always confused about the ME dlc being on the game disk already. does that mean that if you buy the game new you get the dlc for free or does that mean that you just have them on the disk already but you still have to purchase them.
i thought i heard somewhere b4 that if you bought the game used, you had to pay a fee just to be able to have access to the dlc, then you had to pay for the dlc. i admit that doesnt sound right but that is what i remember hearing.
thanks in advanceLast edited by TajDeni; 03-30-2013, 10:19 AM.Through Holy Union God Lives Inside For Everyone

The DLC for ME2 has a couple that are important to the story like the arrival and the shadow broker. If you don't do those when you get to ME3 you might think "WTF when did that happen?"
Also not sure what system you are getting it for but I know when ME2 came out for the PS3 it included a lot of the DLC with it. Not sure if the trilogy is the same way, but I'm guessing it would be.
I would recommend buying it all new. You said you wont play online, but the ME3 online is very fun and you might want to give it a shot sometime. Plus like you said you need the online pass or cerberus network to download any DLC and it will cost you if you don't buy new.NHL: Vegas Golden Knights

Basically whether you play online or not you are going to want the online pass as it comes with free DLC as well as some other perks.

Re: Mass Effect Trilogy releasing this November on 360/PS3/PC (including ME1 on PS3)
I'm on the last leg of the boss fight at the very end. I get it down to about 25% health, and then the enemy starts to encroach on me!!
I want this platinum. And I've got to fly out on business first thing tomorrow, with baseball as my priority today. Oy ...Comment

I assume you're doing ME2? Depending on your character's class, could be a huge pain...Comment

If you are looking to get in the game cheaper for now you might just want to start buying them one at a time. The Trilogy just comes with the same stuff each game did new. I think the msrp for all three games is 19.99. Just another option for you.Gamertag and PSN Mrclutch1013
