Re: Mass Effect Trilogy releasing this November on 360/PS3/PC (including ME1 on PS3)
This has probably been the best $60 I have ever spent. I'm really happy that Bioware put the trilogy out there, because I had always heard great things about Mass Effect, but I wrote it off way before ever giving it a chance. Once this was announced, I changed my mind on the series and I'm glad I did. Need to tell my friends about it.
I just got the IFF in ME2 since starting from the very beginning without any previous knowledge of the series other than how conversations work and that the main character can either be a male for female Shepard.
The only gripe I have so far is that I cannot walk around the Presidium. I loved doing that even if there weren't a whole lot of things to do. It is beautiful. I hope this is the only problem I have with the series, but hearing about all the bad things about ME3, I doubt it will be. I'm kind of wary of playing 3 with hearing about how all the endings are terrible.Last edited by sydrogerdavid; 06-03-2013, 01:39 AM.Comment

Don't let what you have heard about the ending to ME3 taint your idea of the game going in. I loved the game for 99 percent of it. I haven't played the extended cut ending but I heard it makes it better, but I truly enjoyed ME3.
There is a sense of impending doom and all of the decisions you make in ME3 are so heavy. It is the one game that has actually effected me emotionally because of the amazing characters you meet and interact with throughout the trilogy.NHL: Vegas Golden Knights

Finished ME3 for the first time this weekend. I thought it was incredible and really finished the series off strongly. The first one is probably still my favorite though.Comment

Wow, ME2 has started out awesome! I like the first one but the second one is 10 times better to me."In a year that has been so improbable, the impossible has happened." - Vin Scully

I remember being so excited for the release of ME2 I got it at midnight, then put in a 30 hour playthrough over the next week and finished it. So much about ME2 is amazing including the end of it. So many choices that have so much impact. These games are some of the only ones that have gone into my system and not left it until at least one playthrough was finished.NHL: Vegas Golden Knights

Its good but after you've seen one cave or one abandoned ship you've seen them all. Locations were repetitive but I also understand that it was made in last Gen so resource was limited. IMO"In a year that has been so improbable, the impossible has happened." - Vin Scully

Making a decision as to which game out of the 3 is the better game is almost impossible. Each has its strengths and weaknesses. For instance, the story in Mass Effect one is incredible, but the game play and AI are kind of weak.
If I had to pick though, I would say I enjoyed 2 the most! The collectors were the coolest adversaries. The game had kind of a horror feel to it in some respects. The story was a nice balance with some memorable, emotional moments. The DLC was plentiful and added so much to the game.
3 was great as well, but the took so much out of me.Comment
