My new SSD killed all stuttering and my GTX 970 has this game running so well. Outside of shadows and post processing I'm running everything as high as it goes and its still silky smooth everywhere. Makes this game so much more enjoyable.

What size ssd? I picked up a 120gb and a 970, wish I grabbed a bigger one now. Still 5 or 6 pieces to go I can't wait to get my rig going.Comment

Re: Day Z
I was running through Krasnostav which used to stutter a tiny bit, but it never stuttered once nor did it ever really drop below 50 frames too much thanks in part to the 970.
I am very glad I made both purchases.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Re: Day Z
Went with 500gb. Had a little bit of buyers remorse when I first got it, but now seeing how fast the PC boots up and how games like DayZ not only load fast, but no longer stutter, I love the purchase. I had always heard the SSDs helped with stuttering in DayZ, but didn't expect it to be as big of a difference, at least it has been on my machine.

Re: Day Z
This looks like a lot of fun, I think my PC may be able to handle it, curious how much is it a month to play? Only big online games I've played on PC is QUake 2 back in the day and Everquest 1 and 2.
Another question when you lock someone up they just stay there until they die or someone rescue them?

1) one time payment of buying the game only
2) locking someone up - they can log out and will disappear on your screen then change servers and they will load in where they last were BUT you wont be there because your in a different server. There is a way they try and prevent "combat logging", your character will remain in the world for 30 secs if you log off so u can kill them if they try that, which leads into your last question.
3) death you lose everything, you spawn brand new every time you die. 30 to 40 hours scavenging and looting to build up a character is hard, so people avoid dying just like in real life, starting all over from scratch sucks. This is what creates the interactions in the game. For instance, you get the drop on a geared up guy and hold him up, 90% of the time they will comply because they dont want you to kill them and they have to start all over. They would rather be robbed, lose "some" gear only. This is what sets DayZ apart from other survival games.

Re: Day Z
LMAO Phobia.
It's what I've thought as well though...ever since I heard Rocket was leaving them I felt that it'd probably never be released.
Now with all the new survival type games out as well, I'm not sure this game is as needed or important as it felt when he made the mod originally.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Day Z
Yet another zombie game to release this year it will supposedly be shown more during E3
Saber Interactive has pitched World War Z primarily as a four-player co-op action game that takes place in a variety of locations, including Jerusalem and New York. That campaign appears to draw inspiration from the original World War Z novel’s structure, focusing on “survivor stories and missions around the world.”
