    Re: The Witcher 3

I got this game a little over a month ago and only played the intro when I first got it. I started playing other things (NBA 2K16 and Madden) and never got around to going back to the Witcher.

Now, I've spent the last few hours just reading amazing reviews on this game from various websites. Makes me really antsy to put all other games aside & fully dive into this game.

All the hype and praise, I think I'll order a fish sandwich and start tonight.

      OMG people.

      This game.....wow. Just really wow.

Cancelled Uncharted 4....no time. This game along with Far Cry Primal, MLB 16, Madden 17 will be my 2016.

As far as non sports games it will be my obsession going forward. I can't believe I overlooked this game. Fallout 4 grew really stale really fast for me. I put in a solid 50 plus hours into it and then needed a break.

Safe to say I am not going back to it anytime soon. Far Cry Primal is a totally different feel and a change of pace.

But I am already frothing at the level of discovery and adventure I am about to embark upon with The Witcher III. Mass Effect 1-3 thus far has been my gold standard in RPG story telling. I can see this exceeding that by a country mile. And I am only a few hours into my adventure.

          My goodness.

I put this on the side just because I am focusing on beating Dark souls 2 before part 3 comes out. The thing I love about these types of games is if you put them off to the side, when you come back they are the same. Online games are almost like a rat race at times. You have to invest all this time to keep up with everyone else. I love competitive shooters and things like that, but the chasing loot online concept that some games are doing now burnt me out.

Really nice to fire up W3 and just slide right back into the game like I never stopped playing.

This game is simply amazing! Been playing since the release date and I don't think I'm any where NEAR even 30 % complete. The notice boards are opening up a list of damn near never ending quests!! I just reached level 17 the other day, just a bit after ridding the garden of Mordvarg.

Was easily my game of the year for 2015 and that doesn't include the Hearts of Stone expansion which after watching a few videos, had to stop watching it before I watch the whole damn thing. Expecting a GOTY version after Blood and Wine releases. Would be shocked if that doesn't happen.

I played about 2 hours this morning. I got one quest done while picking up 3 or 4 more and acquiring Gwent cards around Novigrad. Time well spent.

It's easily one of the best games released in the last few years period, regardless of genre

                      In my opinion, of course

Yeah, you're gonna wanna make sure you go ahead and finish EVERYTHING up first. TW3 will ruin a lot of games for you. My first real playthrough took place after I was about 40 hours into Fallout 4. I was having fun, but wanted a break for a bit, so I finally fired TW3 up. After playing about 100 hours, I tried to boot up FO4, but it was completely ruined. I've since deleted it from my PS4. That's not a shot at FO4 either. It's a great game in it's own way, but it doesn't hold a candle to the Witcher.

I'll echo the sentiments above. This has to be on the shortlist of the greatest games of all time. Everything works so incredibly well together, from the graphics, to the dialogue, to the combat, to the incredible story, and so on and so on.

Since my original play through I've purchased Dragon Age Inquisition and Fallout 4. Both are solid games, but just can't do what TW3 did for me. I just kept stopping both for a week or more at a time and eventually stopped all together.

Man, I feel so overwhelmed by the alchemy, the crafting, the potions, the diagrams, etc. I want to love this game, I really do, I just can't understand all that needs done to make everything available to me.

I start to feeling frustrated and then move on to something else. Sucks.
