My only complaint so far is the movement being so awkward. Like other people have said, Geralt feels floaty and light when running and going up or down steps. Same with jumping. I also don't like riding Roach. I need to to get places quicker, but it's frustrating just trying to get him to run at the speed and in the direction I want. The combat is great though. I have no problems with it besides dying a lot because I suck right now lol.

There are also some framerate hiccups, but nothing too horrible.

Everything else about the game is incredible
Holding X will make Roach stay centered in road/path. All you have to do is push L/R when you come to an intersection etc.. I haven't had any issues with riding him yet.

That's the one thing that works well while riding Roach. My issue is there's a bit of a delay when telling Roach to go. I'm not expecting him to go full speed as soon as I hit the button, but I almost died trying to escape a bear when he wouldn't start moving quickly enough.

Red Dead Redemption had the best horse mechanics. TW3 has similar mechanics, but they just don't work as fluidly. It's a great game though. Better moving mechanics would've put it completely over the top

Kids are finally to bed, finally fired it up.

Holy ****, if that opening cinematic doesn't get you absolutely pumped for a game, I'm not sure what will.

              Re: The Witcher 3

Just finished up for a few hours. Need to get a couple hours sleep then get back up around 3-4 for a bit then sleep all day to work tomorrow night.
Been a great ride so far. Completed 4-5 side quests and advanced story a bit.
I have been exploring a LOT lol..

Need to get going on some crafting (Potions etc..)
Did get a new steal sword crafted after finding the diagram early on.

Playing on the next to hardest difficulty has not been bad at all. If you're stupid then yeah you'll screw yourself but take your time/investigate and know weaknesses etc.. and it's a fun fight
I think (at least for me) the normal level would have been too easy since this level isn't that hard at all.

Glad I (Other than Mordor which is still unopened) haven't bought any games lately as I can hopefully stay with this one for a good while.

I'm really enjoying the game so far. However I have to echo other's complaints about the movement being clunky and not very responsive. Roach is annoying for me to control at the moment and what is up with his spawns? Whenever I call him about half the time he gets stuck on something in the environment or just aimlessly just wonders off a way from me. Roach has also caused some rather chaotic fights due to him just losing it and start sprinting around and through the fight knocking me and enemies all over the place.

                  Re: The Witcher 3

I understand the comment about being overwhelmed. The menu system, as with most open world epics on a console, isn't the most intuitive. I can see how the information available to you through your menu can be a little tough to stay on top of. I'm struggling a little to keep track of my alchemy and crafting inventory, I don't know precisely how to get what I need for some potions, and I don't know what items to break down, how far should I break them down, etc. I did craft two bomba and I love the meditation system to refill them using only alcohol

As far as being overwhelmed by content, the only thing that has me a little confused so far is I'm not sure which side I'm on. I can't tell if I like the "blue guys from the 'north,' (apparently?) or so I like the nilhef (whatever) guys?

I guess I need to maybe pause and read an in depth analysis of the first two games, maybe watch some breakdowns on YouTube? Otherwise I'm loving the content available to me, I've found so many cool things just exploring this first area, am just now about to advance the story for the first time.

I'm building a Mage type character so far with my ability points and love darting through combat dropping traps and blasting mobs with fire. The fatality style swordplay kills are veery satisfying as well.

Have had some frame rate drops but it seems more related to the game loading something new during combat rather than the system not being able to handle what's on screen.

Dang that sucks. I'm really enjoying gwent so far. Hope the issue gets resolved for that quickly.

I haven't had that happen yet, luckily, but I so have a bugged quest. It's a treasure hunt too, so ouch

Yea I was enjoying it too. The whole concept of building your own deck is pretty cool. I've never been a huge fan of the little side games in RPG's, because I'm usually too inpatient, but this seems legit.

Only got about an hour in today. This weekend I will definitely get some serious time in and I can't wait.
