Do you guys get the board postings or do you just leave them there? I'm not quite sure if the quest shows up as soon as you read it or only after you pick up the listing.

Re: The Witcher 3
Not sure about this...the board wasn't yellow since I finished the contract and I went back to the same board later on and was prompted a undiscovered area prompt. Of course I didn't read what was on the board as I just grabbed whatever what was there...Comment

I love the Bestiary...really helpful little thing to check out when you're going into a fight.-= Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.=- Edward MurphyComment

Re: The Witcher 3
Im thinking I am going to have to up the difficulty (on Sword and Story). I stumbled into a group of drowners and was killed, mostly because I was mashing the fast attack button. I reloaded and came back with a little more strategy and wiped the floor with them. Then a bit later took on the griffin and felt absolutely no danger at all.
With all the anticipation to that battle, it was a bit anticlimactic and too easy of a fight. I think with upping the difficulty, I will get the feeling of danger in the world, the way I think its supposed to feel like.m Worth a try anyway.Comment

Re: The Witcher 3
Gents, I was under the impression that the entire map was open to traverse. Its not, and I'm trying not to be pissed off right now, but I'm slightly disappointed. The world map had me damn near drooling at the thought of exploring until I did some digging and figured out that 80% of the map really doesn't exist in the actual game.
There's like six or seven "portions" or "zones" of the map that you can actually walk around in. This definitely would've influenced my decision to purchase if I was aware from the start. Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't this marketed as an "open world" game. Is this technically considered "open world" ? My definition of open world is a bit different I suppose.
If those "zones" are the only traversable areas, then those "zones" should have been the only thing displayed as a world map (which would have made the world WAYYYY smaller than whats been promoted) Am I off for thinking thats how it should be or what?Comment

Re: The Witcher 3
I don't know man I think open world just means you aren't forced to go through the game from point A to point B. I'd try to just enjoy the game for what it is.Gamertag and PSN Mrclutch1013

Re: The Witcher 3
Really the only issue I have with the game in general is that it's a bit clunky at times. I think it looks good, but not great. A lot of the textures seem very dated but the characters look great, especially in the cut scenes. Skyrim on my PC looks better than this game. But I'm very much so enjoying The Witcher.Comment

Man...
This world is so vibrant and rich. I may finally be able to use another game title in the same sentence as RDR.Comment

Re: The Witcher 3
It took me a good 30 minutes to put down Jenny in the Woods. I ended up with about 50 moonwraith mutagens afterwards.
Traveling from hovel to village to city is unreal. It really gives the size of the world perspective and each feels like a real, functioning community.
Does anybody know where the barbers are?

Hit the jump button again just before you land and Geralt will roll taking reduced damage.

Re: The Witcher 3
I don't own the game but watch someone play on twitch for a couple hours. The game reminds me of a fresher version of the old Asherons Call.
One thing which made A C challenging was the penalty for dying. You lost an item when you died and you couldn't save the game before you went into a fight, you spawned from a certain point. If your character died you had to return to the corpse to retrieve the item which required time and in some cases fighting just to retrieve the item you lost which could be a weapon, armor or article of clothing.
This is a far deeper game in many respects but I liked that aspect of A C better. I suppose it depends on the people you are trying to market the game to.≡Comment

Re: The Witcher 3
The fall damage is kind of lame. It just seems a little overblown. I can annihilate a nest of neckers with ease but falling what looks like about 8-10 feet at most kills me, lol
No big deal or anything.
I definitely feel at home on Blood and Broken Bone difficulty (the third one). If I am careful and prepared I can kick *** in battle, if I am careless I get wrecked.
On console do we have to actually download the DLC I keep hearing about? Or is it already there?"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."
