    Re: The Witcher 3

I sell nearly everything apart from the crafting stuff. Even then I will portion out certain ingredients and sell them - especially after I have crafted upgraded equipment.

DLC coming this week. One new side quest and an alternative look for Yennefer.

Edit: I found a pretty good Gwent strategy and overview that might be useful for people. http://www.vg247.com/2015/05/22/the-...n-gwent-guide/

From what I've seen, red mutagens drop from dracnoids.

Anyone else love the swords in this game? I found silver sword yesterday that has a great looking hilt and a white sleeve. I like how each relic sword has a unique look.

I also like how your skill in combat is more important than the swords you use. I was using a level 4 sword that had 3 rune slots until level 11. The swords I found had better base attack stats but couldn't compare to the additional stats my level 4 had.

I think the point being that the game has several different endings (or maybe few or a couple. Not sure).

And if you can't complete certain missions then you simply don't affect that part of the story which obviously could have a chain effect later down the road.

If everyone follows a guide step-for-step, then everyone will see the same ending and the point of influencing the world around you with the decisions you make is moot.

          Re: The Witcher 3

I just downloaded and started playing the game on Sunday. Love it so far but I am confused with the notification boards in the villages and how side jobs and contracts are gathered. In the very early going I somehow got a handful of side jobs or Witcher contracts (as they were labeled) in the menus. The ones that I had are completed but I can't figure out how to get more

I was under the impression that removing the notices from the village bulletin boards would provide that kind of side tasks, but the last 15 or so that I have removed does not show up in my inventory or quests screen. I am clueless since the DL version does not come with a manual nor does the menu stuff I have found give any information.

Could someone possibly help me out and explain how to get these things to show up?

I thought the guy on the Conan Clueless Gamer video said there are 36 endings.

I believe the notices with a wax seal are actual contracts/side quests, but the notices without are just either random community messages or will put a ? on the map.

There should be a notice board at every village. There are also random encounters and characters marked with ! on the map that will give quests, too. Some characters featured in the main quest line will also have additional side quests.

I love the ripple effect of these decisions - it makes games like Mass Effect seem silly with such obvious decision baiting. Here, however, you simply continue on with the dialogue in a natural way and things just happen. A lot of "oh, damn" moments so far.

Where is the Towerful of Mice quest/contract?
Keira gives you the Towerful of Mice quest/contact.

What's funny is I just completed Family Matters / Bloody Baron quest line last night. Just reading your spoilers shows how different our game is already.

Spoilers if you want to read how I approached it. The spoilers below will go up to the end of the Family Matters quest. I will try to keep it vague.

I've only played a couple hours so far but I really like what I've seen. Definitely have my pc a workout too, I haven't heard the fans that loud in a while.

Everything varies so much. I was just lenient with a bandit gang in a side quest and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see that come back to backfire against me later.

Everything is so well written I truly feel like every choice matters.

Thanks! I do recall seeing the mention of random village news like notifications in a tutorial pop up on the screen, but it went away very quickly. I'll definitely keep my eyes open for notices with a seal on them though, as well as the other stuff you mentioned

Not every notice on the board is a quest. Some are just what they are, notices. Read a few of them and you'll see what i mean. I take them all anyway so allow the possibility of them being replenished at a later date with a possible quest.

I just got up to level 11 and have collected the same Griffin School armor pieces and diagrams. I just need to find an appropriate leveled blacksmith so I can get the blades.

I thought that people had to do Keira's quests before getting to Bloody Baron. I totally ruined that part. I won't make that mistake again. I will approach spoilers very specifically and cautiously here on out.
