Eating one liquid and one solid no longer stacks healing? Wtf.

Can't find anything in the patch notes but I didn't go over them with a fine tooth comb.

Edit: looks like healing rate has been tweaked so there's no need to double up anymore.

Bought this game on release but still have not had the time to really play it. Will be kinda nice to go through with it fully patched at some point.

That said the little I did play, I had a hard time with the combat. What level do you guys suggest playing on for a decent, but not bone crushing challenge? I just want to enjoy the game.

Then just play at default or maybe one level up. This game is all about the story for me. The difficulty seems to level up pretty smoothly as you go up it level. Just remember to use potions, decoctions etc., they really can help with combat and beating the tougher monsters.

Has anyone downloaded the expansion? My cousin was showing me last night and it all looked great. The small touches to the menus and items from the patch was pretty nice, too.

                  Re: The Witcher 3

Guys, I have been playing this game on and off for a couple months. I'm pretty terrible at these games, but I love The Witcher 3. The difficulty I am playing is basically the walk through. The trouble is I am now in a mission that is higher than my recommended difficulty level. I am now battling Golem, and I cannot beat this guy, and I have no potions or lotions or anything I can do to my sword. I don't feel like looking at the loading screen for the next 2 weeks as I try to kill him.

Do you guys have any advise for a complete noob, and someone who is unequipped to beat this guy? I need help ASAP or else I'm stuck.

                  Thanks everyone!!!

Sometimes I try a quest that is higher than I am and when I can't do it I just leave it till later and come back when I've leveled up a bit. There is way to much to do in this game to worry or waste time on a quest that you can't beat.

Just go do some other things till you get a little higher and better equipped

How do I do that? I am kind of stuck in "wondering the caves", or whatever this quest is. I'd love to do that and learn the game better and let it sink in then try to plow through missions. Because I have such a difficult time beating him, and I have already logged 10+ hours I don't have any fun being stuck, and I don't want to lose my progress.

You should be able to just leave the area or go to the earliest save before you were put in whatever situation you're in. Go to your quest log and select a more level appropriate quest and it should start a waypoint to that quest. When I first started the game on it's release I had a monster quest...I think it was Jenny O or a wrath I had to kill. Couldn't do it for the life of me, was to low so I left and just did some other quest to level up.

My strategy for golems... Keep quen active as much as possible. Use yrden to slow it down and attack from rear. Don't block, just get out of his way!

I'm waiting it out for now, I'm still early in my second play through on NG+

I'm still milking my first playthrough before I touch the DLC. Getting close to the end of the story though and delaying that by going after every contract right now. After that, finish story then dlc.
